Secretary General of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) Umberto de Pretto delivered a video message to participants of the plenary session of the International Conference &ldquo;Turkmentel &ndash; 2025&rdquo; and the conference on transport corridors.

The IRU chief highly praised the foresight of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s leadership in developing the country&rsquo;s transit potential and logistics expertise, as well as its active role in promoting transport issues at the global level within the framework of the UN. De Pretto particularly highlighted Turkmenistan&rsquo;s membership in the IRU global family through its association, THADA.

Huawei to take part in the second phase of Arkadag city construction

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Mammethan Chakiyev, delivered remarks at the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference &ldquo;Turkmentel-2025.&rdquo; He announced Turkmenistan&rsquo;s readiness to consider specific investment proposals from foreign partners.

Chakiyev highlighted the transit and transport potential of Turkmenistan. Owing to its advantageous geo-economic location, the country is carrying out large-scale construction of new transport and transit infrastructure along the East&ndash;West and North&ndash;South corridors. These projects open up significant opportunities for strengthening international trade and economic cooperation across the Eurasian region.

Furthermore, as part of the consistent development of the digital economy &mdash; which includes the introduction of the E-Government system and the expansion of artificial intelligence and cloud technology capabilities &mdash; Turkmenistan continues to prioritize the training of highly qualified professionals and the integration of advanced technological solutions into the national communications system.
