During exchange trading held at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan on February 17, products of the State concern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&rdquo; were sold on the domestic market.

Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased TPP D 30 S grade polypropylene from the State concern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit.&rdquo; They also concluded deals with the Ministry of textile industry to buy cotton yarn.

On the foreign market, representatives of the business communities of the United Arab Emirates and T&uuml;rkiye concluded deals with Turkmen entrepreneurs to purchase first-grade wheat flour. Entrepreneurs from the United Kingdom and Ireland bought gabardine fabric from Turkmen businesses. Representatives of the business circles of the United Arab Emirates also concluded deals with the Ministry of industry and construction production to purchase Portland cement.

In total, 7 deals were concluded during the trading, amounting to 10,634,600.00 manats and 2,570,910.00 US dollars.

On February 16, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Director of the European Regional Office of the World Health Organization, Hans Kluge, who arrived in the country on a visit.

President of Turkmenistan receives WHO award for contribution to health diplomacy

The regular and modern development of the fuel and energy complex, which is one of the key components of our national economy, remains one of the main priorities. Under the guidance of the Esteemed President, the &ldquo;Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Industry Development Program until 2030&rdquo; is being effectively implemented.

In line with current demands, special attention is given to areas such as the exploration of new hydrocarbon deposits, industrial development of oil and gas resources on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea, along the Amyder&yacute;a River, and in the Central Garagums, expansion of natural gas exports, processing of raw materials, and production of globally demanded products for subsequent shipment abroad.

To successfully achieve these goals, geological exploration, prospecting, and drilling operations are carried out in various regions of the country.

At oil and gas fields, enterprises, and in logistics processes, the latest scientific advancements are applied, with new technologies and digital systems being implemented. Digital solutions not only simplify operations but also serve as a key tool in ensuring safety during gas and oil extraction. Concepts such as &ldquo;smart&rdquo; fields and &ldquo;smart&rdquo; wells, where artificial intelligence systems operate efficiently, are being utilized.

Turkmenistan holds a leading position in the region among gas-exporting countries. Moreover, in recent years, the country has not limited itself to raw material exports &mdash; unique enterprises have been established where natural gas undergoes deep processing.

Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues Ashyrguly Begliyev has been relieved of his position in connection with his retirement. The respected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding document on February 13 at an expanded meeting of the Government dedicated to the results of 2025.

Ashyrguly Begliyev first held the position of Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues from April 2022 to February 2023. He was then appointed Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, overseeing the fuel and energy complex. From May 2023 to February 2026, he again served as Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues.

Future drillers undergo winter industrial practice

On February 14, a reporting meeting dedicated to the results of work carried out in 2025 was held at the central building of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s oil and gas complex.

During the session, the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for the oil and gas sector at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 13 were reviewed. Specific directions for the further development of the industry were also outlined.

Among the priorities were tasks such as increasing volumes and diversifying natural gas export routes, efficient development of oil and gas fields, and the implementation of advanced technologies to expand the production capacities of enterprises.

Special attention was given to expanding cooperation with major foreign oil and gas companies, attracting foreign investment, and improving the professional skills of industry specialists.

Key tasks for 2026 include construction of the Turkmenistan&ndash;Afghanistan&ndash;Pakistan&ndash;India (TAPI) gas pipeline, in particular the important section &mdash; the Serhetabat&ndash;Herat gas pipeline, known as the &ldquo;Arkadagyň Ak &Yacute;oly&rdquo;, as well as increasing the production capacities of the Turkmenbashi oil refining complex and the Seidi oil refinery.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Guvanch Agajanov, noted that the President of Turkmenistan places great trust in the workers of the oil and gas sector. Thanks to the Head of State&rsquo;s efforts, all opportunities are being created for the improvement and consistent development of the oil and gas sector, and the material and technical base is being modernized.

Vice Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov emphasized the necessity of continuous monitoring of the implementation of large-scale projects and strict adherence to production and strategic plans.

A reporting meeting on the results of 2025 was held in Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy sector

On February 14, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Army General Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting of the State Security Council, where the results of the work of military and law enforcement agencies for January of the current year were reviewed. Issues related to ensuring security and stability in the independent state, strengthening the material and technical base of the security agencies, and further improving their activities were also considered.

The first to speak was Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyyev, who reported on the work carried out during the period under review in implementing the tasks set out in the Program for the Development of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan. At the same time, a report was presented on the commissioning of service and social facilities opened on the occasion of Defender of the Fatherland Day, including a new complex of buildings and structures for military units of the Armed Forces built in the Lebap province.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of continuing measures to train military personnel for the Armed Forces, as well as continuing work to strengthen the material and technical base of the National Army and improve the social and living conditions of servicemen. In this regard, the Secretary of the State Security Council and Minister of Defense was given a number of specific instructions.

Then the heads of the country&rsquo;s military and law enforcement agencies presented reports on the results of their work for January of the current year and the measures being implemented to successfully address the tasks facing their departments. In particular, information was provided on ongoing efforts to introduce digital systems in subordinate structures, improve staff qualifications, and commission new administrative buildings and residential houses for employees.

The head of Turkmenistan emphasized that an important task is to improve activities aimed at strengthening the rule of law and public order in line with modern requirements, as well as ensuring control over compliance with laws in the country. Serdar Berdimuhamedov also gave a number of specific instructions to the heads of the military and law enforcement agencies.

During the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief relieved N. Atagarayev of the post of Minister of National Security in connection with his transfer to another position, appointing D. Meredov to this post.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that, in accordance with Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Military Doctrine, which is purely defensive in nature, measures are being taken to maintain an appropriate level of military security and the integrity of the independent, permanently neutral Homeland, strengthen its defense capability, and improve the social and living conditions of the defenders of the Fatherland and their family members. As emphasized, work in this direction will continue.

Also last week, cotton fiber, wheat flour, liquefied gas, textile products, urea, plastic pallets, Portland cement, and cotton yarn were sold at exchange trading.

In 2025, the oil production plan by the State concern &quot;T&uuml;rkmennebit&quot; fulfilled at the level of 108.6 percent. This was reported by the corresponding vice-premier in a report on the work done in 2025 to increase oil and gas production and expand routes for their delivery to the world market at an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers.

As reported, during the period under review, oil refineries fulfilled the oil refining plan at the level of 108.8 percent. Plan fulfillment for gasoline production amounted to 108.1 percent, diesel fuel &ndash; 101 percent, petroleum bitumen &ndash; 284.6 percent, lubricating oils &ndash; 100 percent, and for natural and associated gas production &ndash; 101.7 percent. The production growth rate of liquefied gas reached 105.2 percent.

Guvanch Agajanov appointed as New Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for the Oil and Gas complex

Turkmen scientists have developed a technology for producing lubricating oil (solidol) using local raw materials and waste from the oil and gas and food industries. The technology was developed by scientists at the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

As initial components, they used waste motor and industrial oils, tar, animal fats, gossypol resins, as well as soapstock&mdash;a by-product of alkaline refining of vegetable oils.

The obtained results can be applied in industrial production, including at oil refining enterprises, including the Turkmenbashi Oil Refining Complex, where base oils are used in the production of lubricants.

The development of such technologies corresponds to the objectives of resource conservation and environmental sustainability.

It has been scientifically and experimentally confirmed that with appropriate purification and technology, it is possible to produce solidol from such raw materials that meets established standards. The application of the developed approaches allows expanding the raw material base of domestic lubricant production, reducing the cost of products, and cutting expenses for industrial waste disposal.

An important component of their production is mineral raw materials containing lime and calcium oxides, strontium compounds, and lithium.

Turkmen scientists develop technology for producing lubricating oils from local raw materials

On February 13, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the results of work completed in 2025 were summarized, reports from Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, a number of ministers, and velayat hakims were heard. The agenda also included prospective tasks for the country&#39;s socio-economic development for 2026 and personnel matters.

Invited to the extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers were leaders of the Mejlis, members of the State Security Council, regional hakims, hakims of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, rectors of higher educational institutions, heads of mass media, and others.

During the session, vice-premiers reported on the results of activities of subordinate ministries and departments for January-December 2025, and on the progress of implementing state programs in various sectors of the economy. Drafts of certain documents were also presented for consideration by the Head of State.

After hearing the reports, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave the vice-premiers corresponding instructions related to raising the level of industrialization of the national economy, expanding Turkmenistan&#39;s foreign economic ties, strengthening fruitful relations with foreign countries, and preparing and conducting at a high level the events scheduled throughout the year. The Head of State signed the drafts of corresponding documents.
