The closing ceremony of the World Expo 2025 was held in Osaka on October 13. The Turkmen delegation was led by Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Nazar Agakhanov.

Opening the event, Hiroshima Ishige, Secretary General of the Japan World Exhibition Association (JWEA), celebrated the successful completion of the exhibition in Osaka and expressed his deep gratitude to all the national pavilions from around the world that participated in the event.

Thanks to the consistently implemented energy policy under the leadership of our esteemed President, the fuel and energy sector is developing comprehensively. Our country possesses abundant oil and gas reserves and has accumulated extensive experience in drilling wells and developing fields, enhancing oil recovery, and processing the resulting products. As we embark on a new era of sovereignty, new opportunities are being created for the export of Turkmen natural gas in various destinations. Consequently, the capacity of hydrocarbon processing plants is being expanded.

These enterprises are being modernized using innovative technologies and are fully equipped with technical and technological equipment. The following oil and gas fields are currently located in the regions: Galkynysh, Dovletabad, Malay, 10 Years of Independence, Bagadzha, Gazlydepe, Korpedzhe, Nebitlije, Akpatlavuk, and Chekishler. In the future, to further increase production in this sector, plans are underway to develop new fields, reconstruct existing fields, and identify promising oil and gas deposits.

In our country, the Turkmennebit State Concern is carrying out important work in the production and use of oil. This &quot;black gold,&quot; one of our national treasures, is produced at such oil-rich fields as Uzynada, Barsagelmez, Northern Goturdepe, Gamyshlydzha, Keymir, and Altyguy. Turkmenistan plans to develop new oil and gas fields

Last week, 14 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

Turkish entrepreneurs used foreign currency to purchase urea produced at the processing facilities of the T&uuml;rkmenhimi&yacute;a State Commodity Exchange.

Portland cement, uluk, and raw fabric were also sold for foreign currency. The purchasing countries included Turkey, Singapore, and Azerbaijan. The total value of the transactions exceeded $6.5 million.

Turkmenistan Approves Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2026–2028

On October 8, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, presented a draft &quot;Regulation on the Permanent Missions of Turkmenistan to International Organizations&quot; for consideration by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a government meeting.

The document is aimed at comprehensively promoting the development and expansion of cooperation with international organizations, as well as coordinating the country&rsquo;s activities within their framework.

The Regulation outlines the activities and authorities of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Permanent Missions, along with other relevant aspects. It also defines the main functions and objectives of the Missions. These include maintaining official interstate relations within the respective international organizations, representing and protecting the rights and interests of Turkmenistan and its citizens, implementing the country&rsquo;s foreign policy, and maintaining systematic dialogue with international organizations.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to develop and strengthen the country&#39;s cooperation with international institutions. In this regard, the head of state signed a Resolution &ldquo;On the Approval of the Regulation on the Permanent Missions of Turkmenistan to International Organizations&rdquo; and issued relevant instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

President of Turkmenistan approves regulation on the country’s Permanent missions to International Organizations

An informational and advocacy event titled &ldquo;A World Driven by Progress &ndash; Proud Women of a Peaceful Homeland&rdquo; was held within the country&rsquo;s oil and gas sector. The event brought together women working in enterprises of the sector and was organized by the Central Council of the Women&#39;s Union of Turkmenistan, along with the primary women&rsquo;s organizations of the State Concerns &ldquo;Turkmengas&rdquo; and &ldquo;Turkmennebit&rdquo;, as well as the State Corporation &ldquo;Turkmengeology&rdquo;.

As noted in the speeches delivered at the conference, during the revival of a new era of the sovereign state, women are actively participating in the public life of our country and are successfully working across all sectors. Thanks to the efforts of our Hero-Arkadag and our Hero Serdar, significant work has been done to improve the social and living standards of our people.

Conference on the Role of Women in Public Life Held in Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas Sector

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Dushanbe, held a bilateral meeting with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on October 9.

Warmly welcoming the distinguished guest, the President of Tajikistan expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation and noted that the current visit by the head of Turkmenistan will further strengthen the traditional interstate dialogue.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation to participate in the second &quot;Central Asia&ndash;Russia&quot; Summit and the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State, as well as the hospitality extended to him in Tajikistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag.

Noting the productive nature of political and diplomatic interaction, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the commonality or similarity of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan&#39;s positions on key issues of global and regional politics and thanked the Tajik side for its support of Turkmenistan&#39;s policy of positive neutrality and international initiatives.

Trade and economic cooperation was recognized as a priority area of ​​bilateral relations. In this regard, the parties noted the need to take the necessary measures to fully realize the two countries&#39; potential in this area, increase mutual trade, and diversify economic ties.

The parties also noted that Turkmenistan and Tajikistan attach great importance to expanding the established close cultural and humanitarian ties, as well as cooperation in science and education.
