Turkmenistan is deploying the Electronic Interagency Interaction System (EIIS) to improve the accessibility of public services. The project is being carried out within the framework of the &quot;Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2026&ndash;2028,&quot; approved by President Serdar Berdimuhamedow.

The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan, together with the United Nations Development Programme, has integrated the &quot;X-Road&quot; platform into the national system. This solution allows government agencies to exchange data securely while ensuring the confidentiality of citizens&#39; personal information.

Key ministries are already connected to the unified platform. In the near future, the list of system participants will expand, creating a single information space for the country.

The system will serve as a tool to simplify the process of obtaining certificates, documents, and permits. The project is also a step toward implementing the &quot;smart cities&quot; concept and achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

To ensure the operation of the digital infrastructure, specialists from the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and relevant agencies are undergoing training according to international Cisco and Linux standards. As reported, in order to obtain a high wheat yield, irrigation and soil fertilization with mineral fertilizers are being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

The new year, 2026, has become a period of significant production achievements for workers of the fuel and energy complex of Mary Province.

At the gas fields of &ldquo;Galkynyş&rdquo;,&ldquo;G&uuml;nbatar Şatlyk&rdquo;, &ldquo;Kelleli&rdquo;, and several others, systematic work is underway to improve production efficiency. Special attention is being paid to scientific support and quality control of the gas. To this end, laboratories are being equipped with modern equipment, including a new high-precision Japanese-made instrument recently delivered to the Marygaz&ccedil;ykaryş administration.

As part of the first stage of development of the &ldquo;Galkynyş&rdquo; field, a new production well with a depth of 4,180 meters was drilled. This resulted in an industrial inflow of natural gas exceeding 2 million cubic meters per day.

Good results were also achieved at the &quot;Toparjulba&quot; field of the Central Karakum Gas Complex. Here, a new well with a depth of 1,200 meters provided a flow of sulfur-free gas of about 300,000 cubic meters per day.

Mary province achieves new successes in Gas production since the beginning of 2026

The &ldquo;Nebitgazd&uuml;&yacute;pliabatla&yacute;yş&rdquo; Trust, one of the major production enterprises in the western region of Turkmenistan, achieved outstanding economic results over 11 months of last year thanks to the effective work of its subordinate departments. The additional volume of oil produced by the trust during the reporting period amounted to about 246,532 tonnes, corresponding to a growth of 125.2 percent.

At the Barsagelmez field, one of the richest oil and gas fields of the State сoncern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit,&rdquo; major well-overhaul operations are being carried out without any slowdown. As a result of targeted efforts, over 11 months of last year, instead of the planned 376 wells, 396 wells were restored and handed over for operation to oil producers. The plan for this indicator was fulfilled by 105.3 percent.

The &ldquo;Nebitgazd&uuml;&yacute;pliabatla&yacute;yş&rdquo; Trust includes the well-overhaul departments of &quot;Goturdepe&quot;, &quot;Barsagelmez&quot; we &quot;Gamyşlyja&quot;. Over the 11 months of the past year, the volume of &ldquo;black gold&rdquo; produced by the &ldquo;Nebitgaz&ccedil;ykaryş&rdquo; trust approached 3,684,540 tons. As a result, the production plan was fulfilled by more than 109 percent. Natural gas output exceeded 4 billion 218 million 600 thousand cubic meters, with plan fulfillment reaching 166.92 percent.

In addition, the obtaining of new gas inflows at the Toparjulba gas field, located within the Central Karakum group of gas fields, was received as a labor gift in honor of the New Year. These successes clearly indicate that the sector is being developed on a scientific basis, with modern technologies and digital solutions being successfully introduced into production.

In 2025, the commissioning of major oil and gas infrastructure facilities expanded Turkmenistan&rsquo;s export potential and further strengthened energy cooperation in the region. The 30th International Conference and Exhibition &ldquo;Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan &mdash; 2025&rdquo; brought together representatives from dozens of countries, providing a broad platform for discussing key issues related to investment, innovation, and the energy transition.

Heads of Foreign States Congratulate Turkmenistan's President on New Year

In the new year of 2026, proclaimed in the country as &laquo;Independent neutral Turkmenistan &minus; the homeland of purposeful winged horses&raquo; the first baby of the year was born at the capital&rsquo;s Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health.

According to available medical data, the condition of the child, who joined the Gayypov family, is satisfactory. The boy was born in the early morning of January 1. His weight is 3 kilograms 100 grams, and his height is 48 centimeters.

The parents of the child, who was named Atamurat, expressed their gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the socially oriented policy being pursued, initiated by Hero-Arkadag, for the conditions created by the state to protect citizens&rsquo; health, and for supporting the harmonious development of children.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a telephone conversation on December 30 with the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko. Hero-Arkadag announced that according to the decision of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, the next Commonwealth summit will be held in Turkmenistan on October 9, 2026. The event is planned to be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, which has all the conditions for organizing major international forums.

During the conversation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the significance of the President of Turkmenistan&#39;s visits to Russia to participate in celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the meeting of the heads of CIS member states. Hero-Arkadag noted that Turkmenistan highly values Russia&#39;s readiness to strengthen cooperation and support for the country&#39;s neutral foreign policy course. A clear confirmation of this was the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Ashgabat to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as in the celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s permanent neutrality.

In the context of Turkmenistan&#39;s chairmanship of the CIS, the importance of preparing such events as the Women&#39;s Dialogue, the meeting of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, and the Conference on Demography was noted.

Students from the Bakanabat Oil College successfully completed their internship at divisions of the State Concern Turkmennebit. From May 12 to 14, 2026, one of the largest agricultural forums in the region &mdash; the international exhibition &ldquo;Agro-Pack Turkmenistan and Turkmen Food&rdquo; &mdash; will be held in the capital city of Ashgabat. International Exhibition “Agro Pack Turkmenistan-2026” to Be Held in Ashgabat

In Turkmenistan in 2025, major oil and gas infrastructure facilities have been commissioned, aimed at increasing the country&#39;s export capabilities and strengthening energy cooperation in the region.

On July 18 of the outgoing year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in digital format in the ceremonial opening of the third oil loading berth of the Kenar enterprise for storage and shipment of petroleum products, which is part of the Turkmenbashi oil refinery complex. The facility&#39;s capacity allows loading 2 million 60 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products per year and receiving 1 million 150 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products.

In 2025, another stage of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline was also launched as part of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India project. Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag emphasized at the ceremonial event that the country&#39;s enormous reserves of hydrocarbon resources allow it to export natural gas on a long-term basis, and the gas pipeline project serves the interests and well-being of the fraternal peoples of the region&#39;s states.

Turkmenistan's Oil and Gas Sector Reaches a New Level of Development

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan has announced the calendar of international exhibition events for 2026. Throughout the year, the country will host 15 major exhibitions, forums and conferences covering various sectors of the economy.

The business season will open on February 10-12 with an Exhibition of export goods from the Republic of Turkey. In March, three events will take place: an Exhibition marking the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan with a conference of the organization&#39;s members (March 17-19), and an International forum on attracting investment to the private sector &quot;Investment in the Future of Turkmenistan&quot; (March 18).

The spring period will feature the International tourism exhibition and conference &quot;Turkmentravel - 2026&quot; (April 14-16), the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum and Exhibition (April 28-30), as well as the international exhibition &quot;Agro Pack Turkmenistan-2026&quot; (May 12-14). On May 24-25, the XXV international universal exhibition &quot;White City Ashgabat&quot; will take place.

Summer events include the International exhibition-conference &quot;Turkmentextile Expo-2026&quot; (June 4-6) and the International exhibition-fair &quot;Kids Expo: Everything for Children&quot; (August 19-22).

The autumn period will be the most intensive. In September, an Exhibition of Turkmenistan&#39;s economic achievements dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the country&#39;s independence will be held (September 17-19).
