On August 29, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on a digital system, where the results of the work carried out in the country over the first eight months of this year were summed up.

The first to speak was the Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova, who reported on the results of the national parliament&#39;s activities for January-August of this year.

She reported that 15 legislative acts were adopted during the period under review. Along with this, amendments and additions were made to existing legal acts related to criminal, arbitration, civil, criminal procedure, family and labor relations, tax, administrative and production issues, activities in the field of motor transport, migration, internal affairs agencies, and customs. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov reported on preliminary macroeconomic indicators for the first eight months of this year. On August 28, a meeting was held in Moscow between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

The heads of the foreign ministries noted with satisfaction the fruitful nature of the interstate dialogue, built on the principles of deep strategic partnership.

Having emphasized the key role of contacts at the highest and high levels, the participants agreed that these meetings are the main factor in strengthening bilateral cooperation with a long-term perspective.

On August 25, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Ireland Yazgeldi Seryaev (with residence in London) paid a working visit to Dublin.

An expert webinar was held in Turkmenistan to strengthen national capacity to monitor the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event was organized with the support of the UN Resident Coordinator&rsquo;s Office and in close cooperation with the State Statistics Committee.

The webinar was attended by experts from leading international organizations: the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), UN-Habitat, the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

The experts presented practical recommendations on a number of key topics, including the management of sustainable fish stocks, urban and public utility development, as well as the conservation of aquatic ecosystems and the analysis of data on endangered species.

The knowledge and tools gained will improve data collection and analysis in the country, which, in turn, will contribute to more effective tracking of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s progress in achieving the global SDGs.

A ceremony was held at the Embassy of the People&#39;s Republic of China in Turkmenistan to present notifications of enrollment to students who received scholarships from the Government of the People&#39;s Republic of China for 2025. This was an important event for applicants who successfully passed the competitive selection for study at prestigious Chinese universities.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People&#39;s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Mr. Ji Shumin delivered a welcoming speech. In his address, he noted the key role of education in strengthening friendly relations between the two countries. The Ambassador congratulated the students and expressed hope that they would become a &quot;bridge&quot; between the peoples.

The parents of the students were also present at the event. For young people, this event marked the beginning of a new stage in their lives and future careers.

The scholarship program of the Government of the People&#39;s Republic of China is very popular, as it opens up wide opportunities for obtaining a quality education. On August 25, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

The diplomats discussed bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of interaction in the international political arena.

In this context, the heads of the foreign ministries agreed to continue an active political dialogue. They noted the importance of negotiations and contacts at the level of foreign ministers in accordance with the Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2025-2026, signed in Ashgabat in June this year.

On August 25, political consultations were held in Ashgabat between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Turkmen side was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov, and the Pakistan side was headed by Additional Secretary of the MFA of Pakistan for West Asia and Afghanistan Syed Ali Asad Gillani.

The diplomats confirmed that the key factor in the development of interstate relations is regular dialogue at the highest political level.

The interest of Turkmenistan and Pakistan in strengthening inter-parliamentary ties, as well as developing partnerships within the framework of international and regional structures was noted.

The parties emphasized the importance of the activities of the Joint Turkmen-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and expressed interest in holding the next meeting in the near future.

In addition, ways to improve the legal framework for cooperation and issues of promoting joint projects in the energy and transport sectors were discussed. In this context, diplomats discussed the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline project.

Turkmenistan and China signed a bilateral document

The President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan visited the 15th century mausoleum located in the village of Argavand in the Ararat region, where the mausoleum of the Turkmen emirs Garagoyunly is located.

The event was attended by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammetgeldy Ayazov and employees of the Embassy.

On October 28, the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Armenia in our country took place at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The cultural event was another clear evidence of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

Turkmenistan and Armenia have been successfully cooperating in many areas for many years. In this context, special importance is attached to the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

This creative action, organized in the year held under the motto &quot;The Storehouse of the mind of Makhtumkuli Fragi&quot;, is one of the significant steps towards further rapprochement between the two great cultures and peoples. The activities carried out in our country to deeply study the life and work of poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fraga have received great support from reputable international organizations and countries around the world.

During his visit to our country to participate in the International Forum &quot;The Interconnection of Times and Civilizations &ndash; the foundation of Peace and Development&quot;, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian presented a collection of poems by Makhtumkuli Fragi&nbsp;translated into Armenian to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The arsenal of interaction between scientists and cultural figures of the two countries includes many years of joint work on the study of the richest layer of history and culture of the Turkmen and Armenian peoples, testifying to their ancient contacts.

In this context, the importance of the great joint work carried out by scientists of the two countries to study the legacy of the outstanding Turkmen classical poet Makhtumkuli Fragi, whose 300th birthday is widely celebrated in our country and abroad, was highlighted.

The participants of the action expressed great gratitude to the heads of the two states &ndash; President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturian for the policy of peace, broad international cooperation, comprehensive development of culture and art.

At the end of the solemn part, a concert of masters of culture and art of the friendly country took place. Its program consisted of wonderful folk melodies and songs, classical and pop music, and dance compositions. The audience greeted the performances of the artists with loud applause.

Cinema lovers have been given a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with the works of Armenian cinematographers created over the years. As part of the Days of Culture, film screenings were organized for residents of the capital at the Aşgabat cinema and the Watan Cinema and Concert Center.

An extensive cultural program has been prepared for guests from Armenia, within the framework of which they will get acquainted with the sights of the white marble capital and the unique exhibits of its museums.
