The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has signed a Resolution approving the Plan for the zoning of agricultural crops by velayats for 2026.

The document is aimed at the successful continuation of reforms in the agricultural sector, the placement of agricultural crops by type in accordance with the soil and climatic conditions of the velayats and etraps, as well as a significant increase in agricultural production through scientifically grounded crop rotation and higher crop yields in the era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State.

In accordance with the Resolution, the Ministry of Agriculture, relevant agencies, as well as the khyakimliks of the velayats are instructed, through the establishment of scientifically based crop rotation in line with agrotechnical standards and the widespread introduction of advanced methods into production, to ensure the production of a rich harvest of agricultural crops.

In accordance with Articles 4, 85, and 87 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a resolution on holding elections for members of the Halk Maslahaty in newly established districts of the provinces, as well as elections to fill vacancies of prematurely departed deputies and members of representative bodies.

According to the document, elections for members of the Halk Maslahaty will be held in Altyn Asyr District of Ahal Province, Garashsyzlyk and Gubadag Districts of Dashoguz Province, Dowletli, Farab, and Garabekewul Districts of Lebap Province, as well as Oguzhan District of Mary Province.

In addition, due to the early departure of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, elections have been scheduled in electoral districts No. 74 &ldquo;Amyder&yacute;a&rdquo; and No. 79 &ldquo;Darganata&rdquo; of Lebap Province, as well as No. 104 &ldquo;Peşanaly&rdquo; and No. 106 &ldquo;Wekil&rdquo; of Mary Province. Simultaneously, elections will be held for members of provincial, district, and city Halk Maslahaty, as well as Gengeshi.

The elections will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Information was also provided on measures taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, government institutions, and social and cultural facilities during the winter period, uninterrupted supply of electricity, gas, and water to the population, as well as the progress of construction at facilities planned for commissioning this year under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022&ndash;2028 and the National Rural Program.

At the gas fields of &ldquo;Galkynyş&rdquo;,&ldquo;G&uuml;nbatar Şatlyk&rdquo;, &ldquo;Kelleli&rdquo;, and several others, systematic work is underway to improve production efficiency. Special attention is being paid to scientific support and quality control of the gas. To this end, laboratories are being equipped with modern equipment, including a new high-precision Japanese-made instrument recently delivered to the Marygaz&ccedil;ykaryş administration.

As part of the first stage of development of the &ldquo;Galkynyş&rdquo; field, a new production well with a depth of 4,180 meters was drilled. This resulted in an industrial inflow of natural gas exceeding 2 million cubic meters per day.

Good results were also achieved at the &quot;Toparjulba&quot; field of the Central Karakum Gas Complex. Here, a new well with a depth of 1,200 meters provided a flow of sulfur-free gas of about 300,000 cubic meters per day.

Mary province achieves new successes in Gas production since the beginning of 2026

The &ldquo;Nebitgazd&uuml;&yacute;pliabatla&yacute;yş&rdquo; Trust, one of the major production enterprises in the western region of Turkmenistan, achieved outstanding economic results over 11 months of last year thanks to the effective work of its subordinate departments. The additional volume of oil produced by the trust during the reporting period amounted to about 246,532 tonnes, corresponding to a growth of 125.2 percent.

At the Barsagelmez field, one of the richest oil and gas fields of the State сoncern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit,&rdquo; major well-overhaul operations are being carried out without any slowdown. As a result of targeted efforts, over 11 months of last year, instead of the planned 376 wells, 396 wells were restored and handed over for operation to oil producers. The plan for this indicator was fulfilled by 105.3 percent.

The &ldquo;Nebitgazd&uuml;&yacute;pliabatla&yacute;yş&rdquo; Trust includes the well-overhaul departments of &quot;Goturdepe&quot;, &quot;Barsagelmez&quot; we &quot;Gamyşlyja&quot;. The repair crews of these departments made a worthy contribution to the trust&rsquo;s labor achievements during the reporting period.

The “Nebitgazdüýpliabatlaýyş” Trust in Turkmenistan Fulfilled Its Plan by 125 Percent

In Turkmenistan, the contribution of production enterprises of the Balkan velayat under the State Concern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmennebit&rdquo; to the development of the oil and gas sector&mdash;one of the backbone sectors of the national economy&mdash;is highly significant. The Concern includes the trusts &ldquo;Nebitgazburawla&yacute;yş,&rdquo; &ldquo;Nebitgazd&uuml;&yacute;pliabatla&yacute;yş,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Nebitgaz&ccedil;ykaryş,&rdquo; which achieved high labor results over the 11 months of the past year.

Over the 11 months of the past year, the volume of &ldquo;black gold&rdquo; produced by the &ldquo;Nebitgaz&ccedil;ykaryş&rdquo; trust approached 3,684,540 tons. As a result, the production plan was fulfilled by more than 109 percent. Natural gas output exceeded 4 billion 218 million 600 thousand cubic meters, with plan fulfillment reaching 166.92 percent.

It should be noted that these achievements were made possible by the worthy contributions of the oil and gas production directorates &ldquo;Goturdepenebit,&rdquo; &ldquo;Nebitdagnebit,&rdquo; &ldquo;Gamyşlyjanebit,&rdquo; &ldquo;Ke&yacute;mir,&rdquo; &ldquo;Gumdagnebit,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Galkynyşnebit,&rdquo; as well as the &ldquo;K&ouml;rpeje&rdquo; gas production directorate.

A New Year celebration was held at D&ouml;wletliler k&ouml;şgi Palace, during which festive gifts were presented to the pupils on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In the festively decorated hall, young Turkmen citizens were congratulated on the New Year by Ayaz baba, Garpamyk and the Horse, the symbol of the coming 2026, as well as heads and representatives of several ministries, departments and public organizations. This designation has become a symbol of the lofty goals, cherished dreams, and aspirations of our people, closely associated with the Akhal-Teke horses &mdash; the nation&rsquo;s pride. The celebrations of the New Year, proclaimed under the motto &ldquo;Independent neutral Turkmenistan &minus; the homeland of purposeful winged horses&rdquo;, are further enriched by the achievements attained along the country&rsquo;s path of development.

In 2025, the state initiatives put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, were successfully implemented under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Programs aimed at strengthening the country&rsquo;s economic potential and improving the living standards of the population yielded positive results across all sectors.

Among these achievements, major projects implemented in the fuel and energy sector hold a special place. During the days of widespread celebrations, the acquisition of new gas flows as a result of systematic work carried out within the relevant structures of the State Concern &ldquo;Turkmengaz&rdquo; showed that the sector has embarked on a path of balanced development. The industrial-scale production of natural gas from new production wells drilled at the Galkynysh gas field once again confirms the country&rsquo;s rich hydrocarbon resources.

In addition, the obtaining of new gas inflows at the Toparjulba gas field, located within the Central Karakum group of gas fields, was received as a labor gift in honor of the New Year. These successes clearly indicate that the sector is being developed on a scientific basis, with modern technologies and digital solutions being successfully introduced into production.

In 2025, the commissioning of major oil and gas infrastructure facilities expanded Turkmenistan&rsquo;s export potential and further strengthened energy cooperation in the region. The 30th International Conference and Exhibition &ldquo;Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan &mdash; 2025&rdquo; brought together representatives from dozens of countries, providing a broad platform for discussing key issues related to investment, innovation, and the energy transition.

The Turkmenbashi Oil Refining Complex concluded the International Year of Peace and Trust with high production indicators. During the reporting period, more than 4.506 million tons of oil were processed, with the plan fulfilled by 106.7 percent. Gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, polypropylene, liquefied gas, and other products were supplied to both domestic and foreign markets.

The year 2025 became another glorious chapter in the development path of Independent Turkmenistan. The achievements attained, projects implemented, and the high morale of the people create firm confidence that 2026 will be a year of new heights and new victories. Heads of Foreign States Congratulate Turkmenistan's President on New Year

In the new year of 2026, proclaimed in the country as &laquo;Independent neutral Turkmenistan &minus; the homeland of purposeful winged horses&raquo; the first baby of the year was born at the capital&rsquo;s Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health.

According to available medical data, the condition of the child, who joined the Gayypov family, is satisfactory. The boy was born in the early morning of January 1. His weight is 3 kilograms 100 grams, and his height is 48 centimeters.

The parents of the child, who was named Atamurat, expressed their gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the socially oriented policy being pursued, initiated by Hero-Arkadag, for the conditions created by the state to protect citizens&rsquo; health, and for supporting the harmonious development of children.

It should be noted that the name given to the newborn child is consonant with the wise expression of the ancestors &ldquo;At &ndash; myrat,&rdquo; which reflects the motto of the current year.
