Over $2.405 Million in Deals Recorded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan

Specialists from the construction and installation department of the T&uuml;rkmen&shy;gaz&uuml;pj&uuml;n&ccedil;ilik association are actively engaged in the gasification of rural areas in Dashoguz Velayat. In 2024, they constructed 60 kilometers of new gas pipelines of various pressure levels.

Among the projects implemented last year was the construction of a medium-pressure gas pipeline over two kilometers long, laid in the village of Ak Altyn in the Boldumsaz etrap.

The new gas pipelines, built as part of the National Transformation Program, are intended for the gasification of rural areas. In addition to Ak Altyn, pipelines of various lengths have been laid in the Shavat, Akdepe, and Gorogly etraps.

These measures ensure the uninterrupted supply of gas to consumers, enhance the reliability of the gas infrastructure, and improve its efficiency.

Dashoguz Velayat has developed an extensive gas supply network that fully meets the local population&rsquo;s demand for natural gas. The number of such facilities increases every year, contributing to the development of infrastructure in line with modern requirements.

The Quality of Services for Providing Consumers with Petroleum Products is Improving

In our country, the stable prosperity and well-being of the people are based on the dynamic development of the economy. In the past year, the volume of industrial production at current prices reached almost 25.7 billion manats. Of the produced goods, 6.465.6 million manats worth were manufactured at state-owned industrial enterprises. The majority of the value of these products comes from the enterprises in the oil and gas sector in our region. Compared to the previous year, there has been an increase in the production volume at large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in the chemical industry, flour and feed production, and light industry.

From January to December 2024, the volume of industrial products sent to consumers (including the remaining production at the start of the year) amounted to 6.386 million manats. Of this, 58.8% was exported abroad.

The energy sector plays an important role in accelerating socio-economic development and ensuring the well-being of the population. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Hero Arkadag and esteemed President, powerful energy facilities have been built in our region in recent years and are now operational. As a result, last year, 4,828 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were produced, marking a 9.3% increase compared to the previous year. The employees of the state-owned &quot;Lebap&quot; and &quot;Watan&quot; power plants have significantly contributed to this success. Thanks to their joint efforts, domestic consumers are supplied with electricity without interruptions, and part of the energy is exported in accordance with intergovernmental agreements.

The Seyd oil refining plant has completed significant work in producing valuable petrochemical products through deep processing of raw materials. In the large industrial enterprise, 472,300 tons of raw materials were processed last year, producing 244,000 tons of gasoline, 117,900 tons of diesel fuel, and 21,500 tons of road bitumen.

In the completed year, high results were achieved in the production of cement (1,118.7 tons), cotton yarn (402.9 million manats), silk fabrics (112,400 square meters), and sewing and knitwear products (812.5 million manats), marking a significant achievement compared to the previous year.

Excellent results were also achieved in the processing of cotton produced by the farmers in our region. Last year, cotton gins produced 108,400 tons of cotton fiber. This fiber is used in textile factories across the country to produce high-quality yarn, part of which is exported.

Workers at the industrial enterprises of the region have made great efforts to produce food products in abundance. During the reporting period, 396.8 tons of flour products, 2,858.8 tons of sweets and confectionery, nearly 35,800 tons of dairy products, 97,423 standard cans of packaged fruits and vegetables, 17,318.8 tons of grains, and 839.4 tons of fish and fish products were produced. This indicates significant growth in the production of these goods compared to the previous year.

High production results have been achieved thanks to the significant contribution of workers from individual industrial enterprises. Last year, large and medium-sized industrial enterprises in the city produced goods worth 4,776.4 million manats, which is the highest indicator in the region. High results were also achieved at industrial enterprises in the K&ouml;ytendag and Khala&ccedil; districts. For example, last year, industrial enterprises in the K&ouml;ytendag district produced goods worth 531.2 million manats, showing a 43.6% increase compared to the previous year.

The successes and high indicators achieved in the past year serve as a strong foundation for further progress and development. In the new year, industrial workers in the region face responsible tasks. They work with enthusiasm, fulfilling the orders of the Head of State and achieving new successes. After hearing the report, the head of state emphasized the importance of developing the petrochemical industry in line with modern realities and modernizing oil refineries.

Approving the proposal prepared to ensure sufficient volumes of petroleum products for domestic consumers and foreign markets, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov issued relevant instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.

Oil Refineries Under the State Concern "Türkmennebit" to Be Modernized

A meeting was held at the headquarters of the State Concern &quot;T&uuml;rkmengaz&quot; between the leadership of the concern and a delegation from the Turkish company &quot;BOTAŞ,&quot; led by General Director Abdulvahit Fidan. During the meeting, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development were discussed.

In recent years, cooperation between Turkmenistan and Turkey in various fields has continued to expand actively. Both sides expressed mutual interest in deepening interaction based on principles of mutual respect, trust, and mutual benefit. This was further confirmed during the meeting, where issues of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector and ways to strengthen it were addressed.

As noted, there are significant opportunities for developing relations in the oil and gas sector between the two fraternal countries. In March of last year, during the visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, to Turkey, a Declaration of Intent on cooperation in hydrocarbon resources and an Agreement on Cooperation between the State Concern &quot;T&uuml;rkmengaz&quot; and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey on developing collaboration in the natural gas sector were signed. These documents laid an important contractual and legal foundation for further advancement of joint initiatives.

The Turkish representatives noted that the intensification of cooperation with Turkmenistan is highly regarded in Turkey. They also emphasized that Turkmenistan has established a reliable legal framework for fostering international cooperation and the effective operation of foreign companies. The guests expressed gratitude to the esteemed President and Hero-Arkadag for the attention given at the state level to the development of fruitful relations. The Turkish side stated its readiness to actively utilize the opportunities created to further strengthen cooperation and participate in the implementation of joint projects in Turkmenistan.

International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments to Turkmenistan&#39;s Economy (TEIF 2025) to Be Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments to Turkmenistan&#39;s Economy (TEIF 2025) will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on April 23-24, 2025, as reported on the event organizers&#39; website.

The forum will bring together international investors, government representatives, industry leaders, and experts to explore promising investment opportunities and discuss the strategic development of key sectors of Turkmenistan&#39;s economy.

The main organizers of the forum are the State Concerns &quot;T&uuml;rkmengaz&quot; and &quot;T&uuml;rkmennebit,&quot; the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, in partnership with the Economic Society &quot;Turkmen Energy Forum.&quot;

The forum aims to expand opportunities for attracting foreign direct investments in Turkmenistan&#39;s energy, transport and communications, construction, and financial sectors, as well as to strengthen dialogue on the further sustainable development of the energy sector. The event is expected to host over 300 delegates from more than 30 countries worldwide.

Additionally, investment projects for the modernization of oil refineries and the development of hydrocarbon fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea are planned for discussion.

Other topics of the forum include large-scale construction projects, transport, logistics, information technology, telecommunications, and the expansion of export potential in industrial, agricultural, textile, and food products.

It is noted that this year, TEIF 2025 will be held at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), located in the heart of Malaysia&#39;s capital.

Last week, 19 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

For foreign currency, entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Ukraine, and Afghanistan purchased urea produced by the State Concern &quot;T&uuml;rkmenhimi&yacute;a.&quot; Transactions also included cotton yarn, cotton fiber, flannel fabric, and dry licorice root extract. Buyer countries included China, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, and Kyrgyzstan. The total value of these transactions exceeded $9,129,000 USD.

For the domestic market, local entrepreneurs acquired petroleum bitumen and polypropylene produced by the State Concern &quot;T&uuml;rkmennebit,&quot; as well as cotton yarn, dyed terry products, and more. The total value of these transactions amounted to 38,187,000 manats.

On January 17, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system. The agenda included several issues concerning state affairs.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov reported on the activities carried out in the supervised sector, particularly at enterprises under the State Concern &quot;T&uuml;rkmengaz.&quot;

As reported, the sector&rsquo;s infrastructure is being consistently strengthened, and the most optimal working conditions are being created, contributing to a systematic increase in labor productivity. In this regard, the Deputy Chairman submitted a relevant proposal for the President&#39;s consideration.

Summarizing the report, the head of state emphasized that the material and technical base of institutions and enterprises in the oil and gas complex is constantly being modernized, and favorable working conditions are being created for industry employees. Approving the proposal presented by the Deputy Chairman, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant authorities to carry out the necessary work.

​From October 25 to 28, 2024, the 11th China-Central Asia Cooperation Forum was held in Yingchuan City of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the People&#39;s Republic of China.
