Speaking on the need to follow the established action plan during the organizational phase of the forum, Hero-Arkadag highlighted the importance of coordinating the efforts of all involved structures.

Hero-Arkadag then familiarized himself with the design projects illustrating the layout and equipment of specific areas of the complex during the conference at the Awaza National Tourist Zone. Telephone Conversation Held Between the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Lesotho

On July 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via digital system with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and provincial governors. The meeting addressed issues related to the country&rsquo;s agricultural sector and the ongoing regional activities.

The governors reported on the progress of ongoing seasonal agricultural work in the regions.

They also informed about the state of construction of cultural, social, and industrial facilities scheduled to be commissioned in the regions this year as part of the 2022&ndash;2028 Presidential Program for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan and the National Rural Program.

President of Turkmenistan Held a Working Meeting via Digital System

On July 3, 2025, a meeting was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation led by the Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC), Senator Ms. Sitara Ayaz, during which ways of developing inter-parliamentary relations between Turkmenistan and the IPC were discussed.

The article by a prominent Russian politician and statesman describes the uniqueness of Turkmen neutrality, emphasizing the undoubted value of the experience of its application for peacekeeping purposes both for the Central Asian region and in the global dimension.

The author states that Turkmenistan&rsquo;s ideas about equal and balanced interstate dialogue based on firm adherence to the fundamental goals and principles of the UN Charter are consonant with Russian approaches to international affairs.

New Issue of «Arkadagly Ýaşlar» Magazine Presented to Readers

On July 5, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. During the visit, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annammammedov, who oversees the construction sector and Ashgabat, reported on the ongoing construction projects in the country, following the President&rsquo;s instructions, and asked the Hero-Arkadag for relevant recommendations.

Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, large-scale reforms initiated by the Hero-Arkadag are being actively implemented, with special focus on the construction and reconstruction of sectoral facilities, including in the healthcare system.

Early in the morning, the Hero-Arkadag arrived in the southeastern part of Ashgabat, where Deputy PM Annammammedov reported on the pace of construction of medical institutions and the plans for new health centers.

The Hero-Arkadag recommended that Deputy PM Annammammedov report to the President on the feasibility of constructing facilities like the Myrat Garryyev hospital complex, the Indira Gandhi Medical School, residential buildings for teachers (especially young ones), and dormitories for students.

Then the Hero-Arkadag headed toward the city of Arkadag by helicopter, surveying ongoing and completed medical construction projects. Over 70% of the construction work is concentrated in the social sector, showing state-level care for citizens&#39; living conditions.

The Hero-Arkadag&rsquo;s helicopter turned back toward the capital.

Transport capabilities in Ashgabat are expanding. Under the President&rsquo;s leadership, logistics systems are being modernized. New aircraft are being added to the fleet, demonstrating the growing demand for passenger and cargo transport.

Later, the Hero-Arkadag inspected advanced health centers in the south of the capital, which meet international standards and provide high-quality services. This confirms the successful implementation of the &ldquo;Saglyk&rdquo; program.

Construction and reconstruction must comply with international standards, and new technologies must be widely used. Durable and high-quality materials should be employed, and comfortable conditions should be created for healthcare workers &mdash; a key to ensuring high service quality.

Modern health centers in the northern part of the capital, such as those in the Choganly residential area, also meet international standards &mdash; a clear result of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s integrated healthcare development.

From the helicopter, the Hero-Arkadag inspected existing facilities, including newly opened ones and the Dental Center nearing completion. They blend harmoniously with the city&rsquo;s architecture and development plans.

He emphasized that social infrastructure projects must be implemented properly, and favorable living and working conditions must be created.

The helicopter made a final round over the northeastern part of the capital and landed.

Turkmenistan delegation took part in the 17th ECO summit “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future”

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via the digital system on July 4, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on a proposal from the Asian Development Bank regarding Turkmenistan&rsquo;s participation in a regional project for the implementation of Phase II of the Integrated Trade Program until 2030 under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. The main objectives of the project include enhancing regional trade, digitalization, and the development of environmentally sustainable measures.

Turkmenistan to Join Regional Project of the Asian Development Bank

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system on July 4, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, M. Chakiyev, reported on the measures being implemented in the context of developing the digital economy and introducing innovative technologies.

Cooperation to Be Established Between the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" Agency and the Relevant Academy of the Republic of Estonia

The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries will be held from August 4 to 8, 2025, in the National Tourist Zone &ldquo;Avaza.&rdquo; A corresponding decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system on July 4.

According to the document, the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and related events are to be held in an organized and high-level manner.

The decree was adopted in order to implement the foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan aimed at ensuring sustainable development, putting into practice the documents adopted at international and regional levels, and organizing the Third Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in cooperation with the United Nations.

President of Turkmenistan Signs Decree on Hosting the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries

On July 3, 2025, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.

Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan

On July 3, 2025, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Daewoo E&amp;C Chairman Jeong Won-ju visited Turkmenistan from June 26 to 30 to discuss new business opportunities and strengthen the company&#39;s presence in the Central Asian market, the company said in a statement on July 1.

During his visit, Jeong Won-ju met with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat. Daewoo E&C strengthens strategic ties with Turkmenistan

From 25 June to 3 July 2025, the 33rd Session of the Assembly of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO is taking place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. On 24 June, the 58th Session of the IOC Executive Council was held.

The event includes thematic scientific sessions and special meetings aimed at strengthening international cooperation in monitoring the state of the oceans, predicting the impacts of climate change and protecting the marine environment.

The delegation of Turkmenistan, consisting of the Director of the Institute of the Caspian Sea of Turkmenistan Myrat Atajanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO Maksat Charyev, as well as an employee of the treaty and legal department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Kemal Garayev, is taking part in the sessions.

It was noted that through active participation in the work of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, Turkmenistan seeks to develop scientific and technical potential, promote deepening of international scientific dialogue and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals related to the protection of oceans and seas.

​On November 9, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the autumn season of the nationwide tree planting campaign started across the country.

In the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, the environmental initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag are successfully implemented under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

As the Head of state notes, the annual landscaping campaigns in our country greatly contributes to its transformation into a blooming oasis and increases the pride of Turkmen people for the unique nature of their Homeland.

Our people have created wonderful traditions, including living in harmony with the environment and taking care of it. Today, they are enriched with new content, which is clearly confirmed by the expansion of forest zones in the country, as well as regular landscaping campaigns.

Mass tree planting events contribute to the creation of new parks, the enrichment of the flora of the Turkmen land, and the provision of favorable climatic conditions. All this is an important condition for environmental safety and the preservation of the health of our people.

Action was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country, as well as the public.

Taking care of nature is one of the most important tasks of our time. Turkmenistan occupies a worthy place in the world community, promoting positive solutions to global environmental problems for the benefit of present and future generations of the Earth.

The implementation of a large-scale National Forest Program in our Homeland is an important contribution to global efforts to combat climate change.

Cooperation with the United Nations and other major international organizations in such an important area as climate change is one of the priorities of our country&#39;s foreign policy strategy, which plays an active role in solving important tasks facing humanity.

The initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan at various high-level forums have received broad support from the international community. A vivid example of this is the proposals to open in Ashgabat a Regional center for technologies related to climate change in Central Asia, to develop a UN Water Strategy, a UN Special Program for the Aral Sea Basin and to highlight the Aral problem in a separate area of UN activity, to preserve the environmental well&ndash;being of the Caspian Sea.

Turkmenistan&#39;s participation in the Global Methane Commitment is also a clear indication of its responsible approach to solving important challenges of our time. As you know, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov officially announced this decision at the 28th meeting of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from November 30 to December 12, 2023. The Head of State stressed that Turkmenistan will continue to cooperate with international organizations and partner countries within the framework of projects and programs aimed at fulfilling the conditions arising from the commitments undertaken.

Our Motherland develops effective relations with prestigious international organizations, and the inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List within the framework of the multilateral dossier of the nomination &quot;Turanian Deserts of the Temperate Zone&quot;, prepared through international cooperation, the State Nature Reserves &quot;Bereketli Garagum&quot;, &quot;Gapla&ntilde;gyr&quot;, the biosphere reserve &quot;Repetek&quot; and the desert ecosystems of its reserve &quot;Yerajy&quot; it is another vivid confirmation of this.

The expansion of park areas and the planting of trees enhance environmental well-being. As in all corners of the Motherland, the boundaries of forest zones, including areas occupied by juniper, are expanding in the vicinity of Ashgabat. They reduce the concentration of carbon monoxide, trap dust from the air, and are a natural protection from the wind. In addition, the forest park zone formed on the territory of Ashgabat contributes to improving the climate.

The fact that our beautiful capital Ashgabat, the pearl of Asia, received a certificate for its contribution to the UN Economic Commission for Europe&#39;s &quot;Trees in Cities&quot; initiative is a clear evidence of our country&#39;s success in developing environmental diplomacy and appreciation of our people&#39;s efforts to protect nature.

The new &quot;smart&quot; city of Arkadag can be called a promising platform for piloting innovations not only in the economy and social sphere, but also in the field of environmental protection. As you know, the initiator of this megaproject is the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and its implementation continues through the efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The smart city, unique for the region, has all modern opportunities for a comfortable life and work, and most importantly, it fully meets environmental standards and harmoniously fits into the environment. Planting shady trees around cities and other settlements ensures a clean environment and prevents air pollution. In desert conditions, such plantings reliably protect settlements from hot and dusty winds, from mudflows and create a favorable microclimate, transforming the natural landscapes of the country.

The conscientious work of the participants of the current landscaping campaign is a vivid symbol of the indestructible unity and cohesion of our people, their unwavering loyalty to noble causes, testifying that the centuries&ndash;old traditions of their ancestors are being successfully implemented in the modern era.

In addition to planting new trees, work was carried out everywhere to take care of existing plantings. This is important for maintaining cleanliness and beautification of park and forest areas.

At the end of the event, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly said goodbye to the participants and left the venue.

In total, 539 thousand 185 trees of various species were planted in Turkmenistan during the current nationwide campaign. Also, in parks and forest areas, along with cleaning and landscaping, measures have been taken to take care of more than 2 million 67 thousand 630 trees that have already been planted earlier.
