Record number of participants confirmed for OGT 2025

On October 17, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported during a government meeting on the preparations for the upcoming Days of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Economy in Frankfurt, Germany.

Turkmenistan Approves New Strategy for Higher Professional Education until 2052

On October 17, at a government meeting, Turkmenistan&#39;s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov noted that the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) was successfully held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in August of this year. Following the international forum, the Avaza Political Declaration was adopted.

In this regard, the Foreign Minister shared the good news that, given the political significance of this International Forum and the enormous importance of its outcomes for the global community, the Resolution &quot;Avaza Political Declaration&quot; was unanimously adopted at the 18th plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, held on October 14, 2025, in New York City, USA.

Avaza Political Declaration was adopted as a UN General Assembly Resolution

On October 17, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital means, where a number of public issues were discussed.

Mejlis Speaker Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported on the ongoing work to modernize national legislation. As reported, amendments and additions are currently being made to the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Criminal Code, the Arbitration Procedure Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, the Criminal Executive Code, the Family Code, the Social Protection Code, and several other laws.

Acting Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov reported on the ongoing preparations for a scientific and practical conference marking the 32nd anniversary of the introduction of the national currency, the manat. The forum will be held on November 1.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on preparations for the XXX International Conference and Exhibition &quot;Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan &ndash; 2025.&quot; Over 70 foreign companies and approximately 30 local enterprises and private entrepreneurs have registered to participate in the exhibition. Approximately 1,390 delegates are expected to attend the accompanying conference.

Forum participants will be introduced to investment projects in the oil and gas and chemical industries, as well as the development of healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry, including the Arkadag Medical Cluster.

Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova reported on the ongoing preparations for the Week &quot;Permanent Neutrality &ndash; the Foundation of Friendship and Brotherhood,&quot; which will be held in the country&#39;s theaters to mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s permanent neutrality. During the Week, scheduled for December of this year, theaters across the country are planning to present premieres of several new plays to our compatriots, along with previously staged performances of works by foreign classics.

Deputy Prime Minister Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva reported on the draft &quot;Strategy for the Development of Higher Professional Education in Turkmenistan for 2026&ndash;2052&quot; and the Resolution approving it. The Fourth Meeting of the Strategic Advisory Council "Turkmenistan – UN" Held in Ashgabat

The organizing committee of one of the region&#39;s most prestigious international energy forums &mdash; the 30th International Conference and Exhibition &ldquo;Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan &ndash; 2025&rdquo; (OGT 2025) &mdash; has announced that China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) will act as the platinum sponsor of the anniversary event, scheduled to take place in Ashgabat from October 22 to 24, 2025.

CNPC began its operations in Turkmenistan in 2002, investing in the oil and gas sector and providing engineering and technical services.

Turkmenistan’s Consul General in Istanbul Presented the Consular Patent

On October 16, a scientific and practical conference was held in Beijing to mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s status of permanent neutrality. The event also focused on the outcomes of the recent Halk Maslahaty meeting and issues of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and China.

The conference opened with a welcome speech by Parakhat Durdyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the People&#39;s Republic of China. He highlighted the importance of the policy of permanent neutrality and the friendly Turkmen-Chinese relations.

On September 16, 2024, the fourth meeting of the Ministers of Energy of the member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) was held in Bishkek.&nbsp; This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.&nbsp;

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the OTG, observers from Turkmenistan and Hungary, as well as ministers and representatives of the energy departments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation in the energy sector were discussed, including the implementation of the tasks outlined in the Nakhichevan Agreement, the Concept of Development of the Turkic World until 2040 and the Action Plan for Energy Cooperation for 2023-2027.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan N.Golliev noted that energy cooperation is one of the important areas of cooperation between the states, where there are great prospects for strengthening partnership to ensure stable and sustainable energy supplies.

The parties paid special attention to the development of green energy and the possibilities of diversifying energy routes.
