Day of Oil, Gas Industry, and Geology workers was celebrated with great ceremony in Balkan Province

On December 15, on the eve of the New Year, a ceremonial lighting of the country&rsquo;s Main New Year tree took place in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with a long-standing tradition, the square in front of the &ldquo;&Auml;lem&rdquo; Cultural and Recreation Center, located at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains, was chosen as the main venue for the celebrations. A tall New Year tree was installed there, surrounded by splendid decorative designs symbolizing the festive spirit.

The event was attended by residents and guests of the capital, folklore and dance groups, circus and theater performers, as well as fairy-tale characters. The most impressive moment of the celebration was the lighting of the Main New Year tree with the help of Ayaz Baba&rsquo;s magical staff.

Lights of the Main New Year tree were lit in Turkmenistan

On December 15, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented awards at the Martial Arts Sports Complex of the Ashgabat Olympic Village to young people who won prize places at international academic competitions and world-class sports tournaments, as well as to their mentor teachers and coaches.

In accordance with the relevant documents signed by the President of Turkmenistan, athletes who won gold medals at world-level sports competitions and their coaches were awarded 2025 model &ldquo;Toyota Camry&rdquo; passenger cars. Athletes who earned silver medals received cash prizes of 70,000 manats, while bronze medalists were awarded 40,000 manats. In addition, coaches who trained athletes winning silver and bronze medals at world-level competitions received cash prizes of 70,000 manats.

Taking into account the high achievements of young people at international academic competitions and Olympiads, as well as the merits of their mentors, school students who won second place and silver medals at world-level Olympiads were awarded 70,000 manats, while those who took third place and bronze medals received 40,000 manats. Furthermore, university students who won first place and gold medals were awarded 100,000 manats, those who took second place and silver medals received 70,000 manats, and those who placed third and won bronze medals received 40,000 manats. Teachers who prepared school and university students achieving high results at world-level Olympiads were awarded cash prizes of 100,000 manats. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, delivered a speech at the International Forum in Ashgabat dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent Neutrality.

In his address, Hero Arkadag emphasized the need for constructive mobilization of potential, political maturity, will, and principled commitment on the part of the entire international community. The National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that all states, regardless of their political systems, size, or other factors, today bear responsibility for the future of our planet.

According to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the key mechanism for such unity is the potential of the United Nations.

At present, the number of countries expressing interest in Turkmen energy resources is steadily increasing. Turkmenistan and Russia Aim to Develop Interstate Cooperation

Based on the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Day of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry and Geology, celebrated annually in our country since 15 January 2010, carries great historical and political significance. This date is closely connected with the launch of the Turkmenistan&ndash;China gas pipeline, which was inaugurated on 14 December 2009 during the tenure of our National Leader, Hero Arkadag, as Head of State. With the commissioning of this modern gas system, Turkmenistan&rsquo;s blue fuel opened its historic route, and today this day is celebrated as the holiday of the national energy industry.

Our people are celebrating with festive spirit the glorious 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality, as well as International Neutrality Day, which is marked by significant achievements across the country. One of the industrial giants that contributed its labor achievements in honor of this holiday is the State Concern &ldquo;Turkmennebit.&rdquo;

This concern, one of the largest industrial and economic associations in the country, carries out extensive work in the exploration and industrial development of oil and gas fields throughout our great homeland. The activities of the concern&rsquo;s production units in the Balkan region are particularly important in implementing the objectives set forth in the &ldquo;Turkmenistan Oil and Gas Industry Development Program until 2030.&rdquo;

According to experts, among the leading enterprises, the &ldquo;Nebitgazburawlayysh&rdquo; trust of the concern stands out. Recently, the trust&rsquo;s labor collectives successfully completed drilling three wells at the Uzynada field in the Caspian coastal zone and put them into operation, which became a significant labor contribution to the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality.

Wells 72 and 86 of the &ldquo;Goturdepe&rdquo; Drilling Operations Department produce 44 and 43 tons of gas condensate per day, respectively, much to the satisfaction of the specialists. In addition, well 87 of the &ldquo;Ekerem&rdquo; Drilling Operations Department at the Uzynada field, with a design depth of 6,800 meters, produces over 45 tons of gas condensate per day. After technical and commissioning work, these productive wells were handed over to the oil workers of the &ldquo;Gumdagnebit&rdquo; Department of the &ldquo;Nebitgazchykarish&rdquo; trust.

It is noteworthy that modern ZJ70DB drilling rigs, purchased from the People&rsquo;s Republic of China at the initiative of the esteemed President, were used in the drilling process. This significantly increased the volume of extracted valuable raw materials and had a strong positive impact on the performance of the industry. The high pace of work strengthens specialists&rsquo; confidence that even greater achievements will be reached in the future.

On December 12, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, congratulated the nation on International Neutrality Day and on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s permanent neutrality.

&ldquo;From the very first days of independence, having chosen a foreign policy course and a national path aimed at integration into the system of international relations, Turkmenistan, on December 12, 1995, with broad support from the international community and in accordance with a historic United Nations General Assembly Resolution, acquired the legal status of permanent neutrality. This neutrality has opened new opportunities for our country, located at the crossroads of Asia and Europe in the heart of the Great Silk Road, for developing large-scale cooperation within the framework of our foreign policy strategy, proposing and implementing initiatives that fully support and unite the efforts of the international community in the areas of universal peace, security, and sustainable development.

In a short period in the modern history of our beloved homeland, glorious pages have been written, and our neutral country has become a reliable partner and a center of peacemaking. At the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, a UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia was opened in Ashgabat. A solemn ceremony was held in the capital of Turkmenistan to inaugurate the Monument to the 30th Anniversary of Neutrality and to raise the flags on the square in front of it. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to summarise the results of the work of economic sectors in the first nine months of the year and define the tasks ahead.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B.Orazdurdieva reported on the results of the work for the first nine months of this year.

During the reporting period, on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth and the beginning of the new academic year, solemn events called &quot;The Storehouse of the mind of Mahtumkuli Fragi&quot; were held in educational institutions. On behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan, all first-graders of the country were presented with Bilimli laptops. Kindergartens and secondary schools have been put into operation on the occasion of the holiday.

Reforms aimed at educating the scientific and educated generation are continuing. Advanced teaching methods are widely used in education.

At international subject competitions and Olympiads, schoolchildren of the country won 15 gold, 32 silver and 55 bronze medals, at international Internet Olympiads - 94 gold, 99 silver and 102 bronze medals, students won 58 gold, 122 silver and 202 bronze medals, in team competitions &ndash; 5 gold, 11 silver and 17 bronze medals.

As reported, during the reporting period, activities aimed at increasing the productivity of scientific research and the introduction of innovative technologies into production were continued.

During the period under review, advanced methods of prevention and treatment of various diseases are actively used in practical medicine. Surgeries and treatment of sick children were carried out at the expense of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care. The Foundation also donated hemodialysis equipment to healthcare institutions.

During 9 months of this year, work was carried out on the development of physical education, sports, and training of professional athletes. At international competitions, Russian athletes won 146 gold, 134 silver and 193 bronze medals. The city of Ashgabat was declared the &quot;City of new sports opportunities of the Commonwealth&quot;, and the Tennis Complex of the capital&#39;s Olympic town was declared the &quot;Regional Tennis Center&quot;.

Next, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the preparations for the Day of Healthcare Workers and the Medical Industry.

On the occasion of this holiday, on October 9-12, the grand opening of the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology and the International Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ashgabat, the enterprise for the production of glycyrrhizic acid in the city of Turkmenabat, administrative buildings of sanitary and epidemiological services of Mary Velayat and Mary city will take place.

In the coming days, an international exhibition and scientific conference &quot;Healthcare, education and Sports in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state&quot; will be held. It is planned to present state awards to distinguished healthcare workers at the Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan.

Stressing the importance of modernizing the healthcare sector, the head of Turkmenistan ordered close cooperation with foreign partners to share best practices in this area.
