Working Visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Kazakhstan Has Begun

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a Resolution approving new requirements for industrial safety compliance monitoring at enterprises across the country. The document was adopted during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 29.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov presented a report on the draft &quot;Requirements for the Organization and Implementation of Industrial Safety Compliance Monitoring.&quot; The document was prepared by the Main State Service &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenstandartlary&rdquo; in cooperation with relevant ministries and industry-specific agencies, in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan &quot;On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities.&quot;

New Industrial Safety Requirements Introduced in Turkmenistan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has approved a proposal to improve the procedures for cargo operations during the export of oil, oil products, and petrochemical goods. This was announced during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held in digital format on May 29.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov presented a report on the improvement of regulatory and methodological documents governing cargo operations for the export of hydrocarbon resources. As noted, a draft of the &ldquo;Rules for Conducting Cargo Operations at Sea Ports and Port Points of Turkmenistan During the Export of Oil, Oil Products, and Petrochemical Products&rdquo; was developed in cooperation with relevant state bodies.

Trade and economic cooperation with Malaysia discussed

Journalists from Turkmenistan have arrived in Kazakhstan&rsquo;s capital to participate in the &ldquo;Central Asia&ndash;China&rdquo; Media Cooperation Forum &ndash; 2025, which opened today in Astana under the theme: &ldquo;Deepening Media Cooperation for Shared Development.&rdquo;

The event is organized by the Chinese newspaper People&rsquo;s Daily (Renmin Ribao) with the participation of executives from leading media outlets of Central Asian countries and China.

Turkmen Journalists Participate in the “Central Asia–China” Media Forum in Astana

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan, Ahmed Al Hameli, held a seminar at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas on the topic: &ldquo;Turkmenistan and the UAE: Cooperation in the Implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the Oil and Gas Sector.&rdquo;

The seminar took place in the conference hall of the university&rsquo;s Information Technology Center and was attended by the rector, faculty members and students of the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity, as well as representatives of the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan.

In his speech, Ahmed Al Hameli provided a detailed overview of the UAE&rsquo;s experience in implementing artificial intelligence technologies in the scientific and educational sectors. He emphasized that AI education in the UAE begins at an early age &mdash; starting from secondary school. The ambassador also noted that AI technologies are being rapidly and successfully integrated into the UAE&rsquo;s oil, gas, and energy sectors with the participation of world-renowned companies and local digital enterprises.

UAE Ambassador held a seminar at Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas University

On May 28, 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the delegation headed by UN Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States Fatima Rabab.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the UN Under-Secretary-General discussed a wide range of organizational and protocol issues, as well as the content of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3).

Preparations to the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) discussed

What is metakaolin? It is a highly active aluminosilicate pozzolanic additive (fine-grained rock type). The mineral composition of metakaolin is a highly reactive, alumina- and silica-rich inert material. Metakaolin is mainly obtained by calcining kaolin clay at 500&deg;C to 800&deg;C (a fine-grained clay processed to less than 0.002 mm, with H₂O and CO removed). Kaolin clay has long been used by our ancestors in pottery and ceramic art.

In recent decades, metakaolin (2&ndash;8% content) has begun to be added to concrete in residential construction around the world. Concrete mixed with metakaolin or basalt is considered more environmentally friendly. The addition of basalt or metakaolin to concrete can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 70%. In the East, it was traditional to shape clay into bricks and fire them in kilns. This method is still widely used today.

Metakaolin has a strong effect on concrete. It accelerates cement hydration and hardening, improves the structure of cement stone by making it denser and smoother, and enhances its physical and mechanical properties. It increases surface resistance to external influences by up to 30%. Concrete mixed with metakaolin becomes more flexible and easier to level when poured.

Its addition reduces stickiness to tools and surface adhesion during smoothing. It also significantly reduces shrinkage deformation, allowing for expansion without cracks.

Our sunny country is rich in kaolin reserves, especially kaolinitic sandstone. There is a deposit of such sandstone located 4 km north of the Gyzylgaya settlement in Balkan province. Kaolin clays are not only used in construction but also in the production of porcelain, faience, ceramics, heat-resistant bricks (high-alumina bricks), as well as in the paper, rubber, medical and cosmetic industries.

A two-day regional seminar dedicated to the agenda &quot;Women, Peace, and Security&quot; and the National Action Plan on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 has started at the &ldquo;&Yacute;yldyz&rdquo; Hotel in Ashgabat.

The seminar is attended by representatives of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s ministries as well as international experts on Resolution 1325 and gender mainstreaming in the security sector. The main goal of the forum is to exchange national experiences and best practices in advancing the &quot;Women, Peace, and Security&quot; agenda.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Myahri Byashimova, emphasized that the country views the promotion of gender equality as an important component of its sustainable development and security policies. She noted that Turkmenistan is implementing the provisions of Resolution 1325 through the National Action Plan on Gender Equality for 2021&ndash;2025.

Head of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, Ambassador John MacGregor, stated that sustainable peace cannot be achieved without the meaningful participation of women in discussions alongside men. According to him, when women are involved in peace processes, the resulting agreements are more inclusive and long-lasting.

Special attention during the seminar is given to the experience of the Central Asian Women&rsquo;s Dialogue, established on the initiative of Turkmenistan in 2019 with the support of all five countries of the region. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of further strengthening cooperation in the cultural, educational, trade and economic fields between Turkmenistan and Japan, including within the framework of the upcoming celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan in December 2025.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Japanese side for awarding the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov the high title of &ldquo;Honorary Doctor of Tsukuba University&rdquo; during the visit of the head of the Turkmen state to Japan on 13-15 April, 2025.

The parties agreed to continue work within the framework of implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on joint scientific research in the field of hydrogen energy between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the University of Tsukuba signed on 7th of April 2025 in the online format.

A meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan with President of Tsukuba University and the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation

On May 27, 2025, the successive meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework between Turkmenistan and the United Nations for 2021&ndash;2025 was held in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in the hybrid format.

The meeting was attended by the leadership and staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads and representatives of some ministries and sectoral agencies of the country, the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, as well as chiefs and representatives of UN agencies.

The agenda of the current meeting included such issues as a review of the implementation of the current Framework Programme, consideration of the next cycle of the Framework Programme for 2026&ndash;2030, as well as discussion of the UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA Country Programmes for the period of 2026&ndash;2030.

The high level of established multifaceted cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN was stated at the meeting, as well as confidence was expressed that only through joint efforts it will be possible to achieve significant results that meet long-term interests in ensuring sustainable development and advanced progress. The importance of joint systemic work based on medium and long-term plans and programs was particularly emphasized.

A meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework between Turkmenistan and the UN for 2021–2025 was held

The State Corporation &quot;T&uuml;rkmengeologi&yacute;a&quot; is a national geological organization of Turkmenistan that develops a comprehensive strategy for studying the subsurface using geological and geophysical methods. It conducts surveys to identify deposits of natural resources, including oil, gas, solid minerals, construction materials, and underground water.

The corporation maintains records and unified reporting of geological exploration activities conducted both onshore and in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea. Geological and hydrogeological mapping at various scales is carried out by the hydrogeological expeditions of Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, and Mary provinces to evaluate groundwater conditions and the environmental state of nature.

Using monitoring wells located in Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary provinces, continuous control is conducted over the quality, mineral content, and depth of underground waters.

In accordance with Turkmenistan&#39;s unified Law &ldquo;On Water,&rdquo; activities are being carried out to maintain the State Water Cadastre and to study hydrogeological signs that could serve as early indicators of earthquakes.

In addition to underground water monitoring and research, the expeditions carry out contractual work ordered by regional administrations as part of the National Program for the Transformation of Living Conditions in Villages, Towns, and District Centers of Turkmenistan until 2028, as well as by various institutions and enterprises.

Currently, the Turkmen geological exploration expedition is actively conducting geological works aimed at locating and assessing deposits of solid mineral resources, including geological and economic evaluations of their development potential.

The main goal of these efforts is to clarify the current state of the country&rsquo;s mineral resource base and to study issues related to its industrial development and rational use.

Thanks to the support of the esteemed President, all necessary conditions have been created for successfully conducting underground water exploration using advanced technologies. At present, newly delivered drilling equipment such as SZMC-300, SZMC-200, DGML-1500, and BZCYX-1000 is being deployed by &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmengeologi&yacute;a&rdquo; for exploration of underground water and solid mineral deposits.

Korean company Daewoo Engineering &amp; Construction will build a new complex for the production of mineral fertilizers in Turkmenistan. This is envisaged by the decree of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, according to which the State Concern &quot;Turkmenchemistry&quot; is allowed to conclude a contract with this company.

The contract with Daewoo Engineering &amp; Construction Co., Ltd provides for the design and construction of a production complex for the production of 350 thousand tons of superphosphate and 100 thousand tons of ammonium sulfate per year in the structure of the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after S.A. Niyazov.

As noted in the decree, the contract is aimed at providing domestic agricultural producers with the necessary phosphorus fertilizers and the production of new types of mineral fertilizers.
