State Concern “Türkmengaz” to Strengthen Its Technical Base With New Geophysical Equipment

On July 4, 2025, in the city of Khankendi, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov took part in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) &ldquo;New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future&rdquo;.

During the event, it was noted that the summit became a high-level platform for strengthening multilateral cooperation, coordinating efforts and developing agreed solutions aimed at ensuring sustainable, inclusive and balanced development.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov emphasized the importance of adopting a new program document, which is designed to define the goals and priorities of economic cooperation of the ECO member countries until 2035.

Turkmenistan confirmed its commitment to the principles of multilateral cooperation within the ECO, highlighting priority areas such as the creation of effective logistics routes, diversification of energy supply routes, development of green energy, elimination of barriers to trade development, attraction of investment and development of cooperation in the field of modern technologies and innovations.

In this context, it was proposed to consider the possibility of creating a mechanism for coordinating the energy policies of ECO member states to ensure reliable supplies of energy resources and strengthen the energy security of the region.

In order to further develop the transport and transit potential of the ECO, it was proposed to carry out work on the further integration of transport and logistics systems.

The advisability of intensifying direct contacts between business circles, including through the use of opportunities for cooperation between chambers of commerce and industry, was also noted.

Turkmenistan delegation took part in the 17th ECO summit “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future”

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via the digital system on July 4, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on a proposal from the Asian Development Bank regarding Turkmenistan&rsquo;s participation in a regional project for the implementation of Phase II of the Integrated Trade Program until 2030 under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. The main objectives of the project include enhancing regional trade, digitalization, and the development of environmentally sustainable measures.

As part of this initiative, participation is also proposed in Subproject 1 &ldquo;Trade Policy&rdquo; and Subproject 2 &ldquo;Trade Facilitation.&rdquo;

In this regard, a relevant proposal was submitted for consideration by the Head of State.

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system on July 4, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, M. Chakiyev, reported on the measures being implemented in the context of developing the digital economy and introducing innovative technologies.

As reported, the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenaragatnaşyk&rdquo; agency is carrying out relevant work to exchange experience and enhance cooperation with specialized international organizations. Particular attention is being paid to interaction with the United Nations Development Programme. The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries will be held from August 4 to 8, 2025, in the National Tourist Zone &ldquo;Avaza.&rdquo; A corresponding decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system on July 4.

According to the document, the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and related events are to be held in an organized and high-level manner.

President of Turkmenistan Signs Decree on Hosting the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries

Current issues of Turkmen-Afghan cooperation were discussed

Daewoo E&amp;C Chairman Jeong Won-ju visited Turkmenistan from June 26 to 30 to discuss new business opportunities and strengthen the company&#39;s presence in the Central Asian market, the company said in a statement on July 1.

Daewoo E&C strengthens strategic ties with Turkmenistan

From 25 June to 3 July 2025, the 33rd Session of the Assembly of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO is taking place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. On 24 June, the 58th Session of the IOC Executive Council was held.

The event includes thematic scientific sessions and special meetings aimed at strengthening international cooperation in monitoring the state of the oceans, predicting the impacts of climate change and protecting the marine environment.

The delegation of Turkmenistan, consisting of the Director of the Institute of the Caspian Sea of Turkmenistan Myrat Atajanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO Maksat Charyev, as well as an employee of the treaty and legal department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Kemal Garayev, is taking part in the sessions.

From June 30 to July 3, 2025, in Seville, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan M. Astanagulov takes part in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4).

Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda

On July 2nd, The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held another meeting of the State Security Council, at which the results of the work of the country&rsquo;s military and law enforcement agencies over the first six months of the current year were reviewed. The agenda also included issues related to ensuring security and peace in the independent Motherland, strengthening the material and technical base of the security forces, and further improving their activities.

Addressing the members of the State Security Council, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that, according to Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Military Doctrine, which has a strictly defensive character, measures are being taken to maintain a high level of military security and integrity of the independent, permanently neutral Motherland, consistent strengthening of the country&rsquo;s defense capability, and improving the social and living conditions of the defenders of the Fatherland and their families. President of Turkmenistan Held a Regular Meeting of the State Security Council

Balkan Velayat continues to see large-scale construction efforts aimed at modernizing infrastructure and advancing Turkmenistan&rsquo;s vital oil and gas sector. Specialists from the 1st Specialized Installation Directorate of the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmen&yacute;&ouml;ritenebitgazgurnama&rdquo; Trust, under the State Concern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmengaz,&rdquo; are actively working in Balkanabat on a range of projects. These include the development of mineral resource fields, installation of new fuel pipelines, modernization of existing infrastructure, and the construction of cultural and community facilities.

On 30 June 2025, in the city of Porto, Portugal, within the framework of the 32nd session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Turkmenistan held a side event on the theme &ldquo;International Year of Peace and Trust: Strengthening Multilateralism for a Secure and Sustainable Future&rdquo;. The total amount of transactions amounted to over 5 million 19 thousand US dollars.

During the telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on the further development of bilateral relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, and economic spheres.

The parties also discussed bilateral cooperation within international organizations, primarily the United Nations.

In this context, the Foreign Ministers discussed preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3).

As you know, the Republic of Zambia actively participated in the UN Ministerial Transport Conference for Landlocked Developing Countries, which was held in Turkmenistan on 15-16 August 2022.

On June 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hakims, where issues related to the country&#39;s agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions were discussed.

The hakims of the velayats reported on the progress of the current seasonal agricultural campaigns.

The hakims reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for opening in the regions this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022&ndash;2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to ensure the harvest of the remaining wheat crop in the fields without losses and to the last grain and to carry out agricultural activities at the proper level in the cotton fields, giving specific instructions to the hakims.

The head of state also instructed the hyakims to monitor the high-quality and timely construction of facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.

As reported, work is underway to care for rice fields in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and sugar beet sowing continues in the Mary velayat.

Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of taking the necessary measures for the proper completion of the grain harvesting campaign, as well as high-quality care of the cotton crop, laying the foundation for the next year&#39;s wheat harvest, ordering that the work carried out in this direction be kept under strict control.

​The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the city of Arkadag, where he got acquainted with the projects of buildings planned as part of the upcoming stage of the city&#39;s development, heard information about their decorative features, and also held a working meeting with the participation of relevant leaders.

In the new city, founded on the initiative and thanks to the efforts of the Hero Arkadaga, the pace of work in all directions is increasing. This is a clear evidence of the successful implementation of a large&ndash;scale urban development program initiated by Hero Arkadag and continued by Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people arrived in the city of Arkadag, which has received many international certificates. Honored Architect of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag first of all got acquainted with the projects of modern buildings planned for construction here and their decorative features. Currently, in accordance with the requirements of the time, the second stage of the city&#39;s development is being implemented.

Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D.Orazov reported on the pace of construction of buildings for various purposes, including the prepared projects of the artistic carpet-making enterprise, on the features of the exterior decoration of the main building of the complex, equipment of other social facilities that will be built on the territory of the new city.

The Arkadag hero was shown a mock-up of the general appearance of the artistic carpet-making enterprise, the features of its exterior decoration, as well as projects of the new Arkadag city park and road transport infrastructure facilities, lighting system options.

As you know, at the request of residents of the new city, a decision was made at the state level to build a carpet factory here, which will create new jobs. Handmade products of high quality by Turkmen craftsmen will make a great contribution to the development of carpet weaving in our country. The carpet company will form a single harmony with the architectural appearance of the new city, will take a worthy place in the creation of unique samples of Turkmen carpets.

The Arkadag hero got acquainted with the submitted projects and made some adjustments. In particular, modern digital technologies should be effectively used in the exterior decoration of a new enterprise. Great importance should be attached to innovative lighting technologies.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people stressed that the elements of the unique spiritual and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people should be reflected in the exterior decoration of the carpet enterprise. In this context, the expediency of using images of the dagdan tree or yuzarlik, etc., to which our ancestors attached sacred significance, as well as the main symbol of the national art of embroidery &ndash; the &quot;go&ccedil;ak&quot; pattern, was noted. As noted, the construction of a carpet factory here is of particular importance. The development of carpet art is determined by an important task of our time. In this regard, it is necessary to thoroughly approach the architectural features and equipment of the enterprise, its external design based on the principles of national architecture.

Hero-Arkadag noted that at the enterprise of artistic carpet making, which will be built as part of the second stage of development, all conditions for creative activity and comfortable rest, as well as useful leisure of its employees, should be created. In addition, it is necessary to provide opportunities for proper rest of the carpet workers during the break and performing various physical exercises.

Then Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, having familiarized himself with the project of the park planned within the new city and its facilities, made some comments and made appropriate adjustments. Special attention should be paid to the placement of comfortable benches in the park, which is especially important for a comfortable stay of people.

Then Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty held a working meeting with the participation of Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D.Orazov and head of the city administration G.Mammadova.

In particular, the agenda includes preparations for the upcoming VI Vienna Ball in Smart City. As noted, modern Turkmenistan has become a venue for major international forums on various topics, including in the field of culture and art. In this regard, the decision to hold the next Vienna Ball in the city of Arkadag, which meets international standards in all respects, has once again confirmed its status as a center for large-scale events.

At the same time, information was provided about the nomination &quot;Akhal-Teke horse breeding art and traditions of horse decoration&quot; presented by Turkmenistan within the framework of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. As reported, it was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO: in the coming days, the city of Arkadag will be awarded the appropriate certificate.

This event will fully demonstrate the international recognition of the comprehensive work carried out in Turkmenistan &ndash; in the ancient homeland of Akhal&ndash;Teke horses - to preserve the purity of the breed, increase the number and increase the world fame of elite horses, as well as proper care for them according to the ancestral folk practice.

In continuation of the working meeting, Chairman of the State Committee D.Orazov said that the delegation of our country had been invited to a meeting of the International Monetary Fund, and appealed to Hero Arkadag with a request to convey Arkadagly&#39;s sincere gratitude to Hero Serdar for the opportunity to participate in the high-level forum. As noted, the IMF is interested in investing in the new metropolis, in particular, in its further development and in the construction of industrial complexes on its territory. This is due to the high environmental friendliness of the urban environment and the use of advanced practical developments, including innovative technologies.

The wide recognition of the colossal work carried out here is confirmed by the award of the 21st international certificate to the city of Arkadag, as well as 3 prestigious awards at a major exhibition recently held in the Republic of Korea.

Speaking about this, the Arkadag Hero emphasized the detailed presentation during the next IMF meeting of information on the pace of work and dynamics of reforms in the new city, which are carried out on the basis of modern practice and in accordance with international standards.

During the meeting, issues of construction of facilities, in particular, their decoration, were discussed. In this regard, the National Leader of the Turkmen people stressed the importance of using exceptionally high-quality building materials with high strength. When choosing them, climatic, environmental, design and ergonomic aspects should be taken into account.
