On June 24, 2025, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov had a telephone conversation with the United Kingdom&rsquo;s Minister of State for Europe, North America, and Overseas Territories Stephen Dowty.

During the conversation, the British side expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the assistance provided to the citizens of the United Kingdom to leave Iran in connection with the complicated situation in the Middle East.

It was emphasized that this action once again demonstrates the commitment of Turkmenistan to the principles of humanism.

In addition, the sides touched upon cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the political-diplomatic and trade-economic spheres.

On June 24, 2025, a round table dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s cooperation with the Asian Development Bank was held in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The round table was attended by the relevant Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, heads of profile ministries and agencies of the country, banking institutions, a representative delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) headed by the Vice President of ADB for South, Central and West Asia Yang Yingming, as well as experts in the field of economics and development.

In the opening part of the event, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov empasized the constructive nature of the 25-year cooperation between Turkmenistan and ADB, that has made an important contribution to the development and strengthening of the country&rsquo;s economy. Such areas as energy, transport, urban development and strengthening of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s private sector were noted among the priority areas of collaboration.

On June 24, 2025, pilgrims who performed the hajj to the centers of the Islamic world - the holy cities of Mecca and Medina of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, returned to their homeland. Upon arrival, members of the pilgrimage group expressed sincere gratitude to Arkadagly Haji Serdar and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Haji Arkadag for the care and assistance from the state in performing religious rites.

In the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, Turkmenistan provides all conditions and opportunities to maintain the continuity of the ideals of humanism and adherence to the noble traditions that have developed since ancient times. Such measures clearly demonstrate that the principles laid down by our wise ancestors are now finding a worthy continuation thanks to the support of the head of state and Hero Arkadag.

As is known, by the decision of Arkadagly Haji Serdar, a group of our compatriots was sent to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj, visiting Mecca and Medina. And today, upon returning to their homeland, they were warmly welcomed. This is another confirmation of the continuity of the ancient noble traditions of our people.

Thus, a group of Turkmen citizens fulfilled all religious requirements during the Hajj. They expressed great gratitude for the opportunity that allowed them to realize their dream. The pilgrims performed all the rituals together with representatives of the clergy, which emphasizes the importance of correct and consistent implementation of religious dogmas. Thus, our compatriots duly fulfilled all the requirements when visiting holy places.

The pilgrims offered prayers for the acceptance of the Hajj, the Sadaqah and good wishes by the Almighty. They expressed words of gratitude to Arkadagly Haji Serdar and Haji Arkadag for their efforts to preserve the original national principles.

The total number of pilgrims from Turkmenistan who went to perform the hajj to Mecca and Medina was about 3 thousand. They were divided into eight groups and visited the main shrines of Islam in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to the planned program. All this clearly demonstrates the measures taken in our country to support noble principles, ensure the well-being of citizens, as well as the opportunities for them to perform sacred rites.

Our compatriots, who visited the sacred Kaaba in the city of Mecca and the mosque of the Prophet Muhammad in the city of Medina during the Hajj, expressed sincere gratitude for the assistance in this on the part of the state and assured that they would make every effort to make a worthy contribution to the further development and prosperity of the Fatherland, the establishment of the principles of peace and friendship.

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi , who is on a visit to our country, during which issues of development of interstate relations were discussed.

During the bilateral meeting, the parties discussed promising areas for further cooperation.

The first to speak was the hakim of the Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

As noted, grain harvesting continues in the velayat in an organized manner, necessary measures are being taken to collect the grown wheat without losses and to transport it uninterruptedly to receiving points. On June 21-22, 2025, the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 51st meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which was held in Istanbul.

At the same time, credentials were received from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan. In addition, the representative of the Mejlis visited Warsaw (Republic of Poland) on a business trip to participate in a meeting to discuss cooperation with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution “On the production of a rich wheat harvest in Turkmenistan in 2026”

On 17 June 2025, within the framework of the 17th Human Rights Dialogue between Turkmenistan and the European Union, a bilateral meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Director of the European External Action Service for Asia Paola Pampaloni.

The meeting focused on regional security issues, especially in the context of the situation in Afghanistan. The Turkmen side presented its approach based on the principles of neutrality, good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of states. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan consistently promotes initiatives aimed at restoring peace and sustainable development in Afghanistan, including providing humanitarian aid and supporting peace initiatives.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of major infrastructure projects, such as the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan railway and the creation of new energy and transport corridors.

The parties confirmed the importance of maintaining an open political dialogue and expressed their readiness for further cooperation on issues of mutual interest.

Also, on the sidelines of the 17th Dialogue on Human Rights between Turkmenistan and the European Union, which took place in Brussels, a meeting was held between the Ombudsperson of Turkmenistan Yazdursun Gurbannazarova and the head of the Office of the European Ombudsman Lambros Papadias.

Turkmenistan and the European Union discussed regional security and development of Afghanistan

On June 19, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Ms. Rana Abu Hijleh, who presented copies of her credentials.

R. Meredov congratulated the plenipotentiary representative of Palestine on her appointment to the responsible post and expressed readiness of the Turkmen side to assist and support her diplomatic mission.

During the talks, the sides touched upon the current state of Turkmen-Palestinian cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as outlined priority areas for its further development.

The diplomats emphasized the collaboration of the states both in the bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador assured that she would make every effort to enhance the Turkmen-Palestinian partnership.
