Turkmenistan Approves National Program for Alcohol Harm Prevention

At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via digital system on July 18, Vice Premier Nokerguly Atagulyyev reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the ongoing preparations for the Turkmen-Japanese Business Forum.

As reported by Nokerguly Atagulyyev, necessary measures are currently being taken to ensure the high-quality organization of the forum. Japanese companies specializing in investment, services, education, the oil and gas and industrial sectors, medical equipment production, construction, and logistics have expressed strong interest in participating.

Turkmenistan to Host Turkmen-Japanese Business Forum

On July 18, 2025, a briefing on preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3) was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The briefing was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the briefing, it was noted that this large-scale event is intended to become an effective platform for promoting international cooperation for sustainable development.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on concrete steps being taken to strengthen cooperation with reputable international organizations. Atadurdy Bayramov has become the first Ambassador of Turkmenistan to receive accreditation in New Zealand. Turkmenistan and Belarus Discuss Coordination of International Events

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of the cultural program of his official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the cities of Fuzuli and Shusha, where he familiarized himself with the restoration and development projects of these historic settlements.

On July 15, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the People&#39;s Republic of China P. Durdyev held a meeting with the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AIIB Jin Liqun.

At the beginning of the meeting, Jin Liqun shared the bank&#39;s experience of interaction with Turkmenistan and expressed interest in further expanding cooperation. The head of the bank announced his intention to take part in the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone from August 4 to 8, 2025. He also said that the AIIB plans to organize its exhibition pavilion at this event.

During the meeting, which was held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, the parties discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation. The Turkmen side also presented information on the country&#39;s current foreign policy and its international activities.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed gratitude for the meaningful and constructive exchange of views. The Turkmen delegation presented the AIIB President and the bank&#39;s library with a book of selected poems by the great Turkmen poet and thinker Makhtumkuli Fragi, translated into Chinese.

Turkmen Ambassador held a meeting with the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

On July 15, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al-Hai Hamad Khamis Al-Hameli.

The parties discussed key aspects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE. An exchange of views also took place on issues related to preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3).

In order to further strengthen the bilateral partnership, the parties considered issues of joint organization of upcoming events and ensuring the active participation of delegations from the two countries.

On October 9, the grand opening of the International Exhibition &quot;Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state&quot; took place at the Martial Arts Sports Complex. The event is timed to coincide with the widely celebrated Day of Healthcare Workers and the Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.

The annual forum, which has gained a reputation as one of the largest and most prestigious, helps to build bridges of cooperation with foreign partners in the field of health, education and sports.

The opening ceremony of the show, organized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry together with the Ministry of Education, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, was attended by members of the Government, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in our country, venerable elders, heads and representatives of ministries and departments, medical scientific and clinical centers, the Academy of Sciences, public organizations, educational institutions, media, healthcare workers, as well as the participants of the opening ceremonies of the International Wellness and Rehabilitation Center and the International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology held today.

Performances by creative teams, who enthusiastically performed dance compositions and songs dedicated to the Motherland, increased the importance of the current event.

With great enthusiasm, the audience listened to the Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, sent to the participants of the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference &quot;Healthcare, Education and Sports in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state.&quot; As emphasized in the message of the head of state, today the national health, education and sports system, where significant progress has been observed, has significantly strengthened the basis, which is largely due to the measures taken to implement fundamental reforms and introduce best practices. Targeted work in this area is carried out in cooperation with the world&#39;s leading specialized centers.

In the era of the Rebirth of a new era of a powerful state, we are also consistently, according to international standards, improving the education system as a key factor in the country&#39;s sustainable development. In general, proper work is being carried out to train educated and erudite youth who are well versed in advanced technologies, the President of Turkmenistan noted.

In his message, the President of the country also stressed that we attach great importance to the development of physical education and sports, as they are a source of health, have great power that consolidates society and the state. Given that Turkmenistan is a member of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, we will continue to strengthen its authority as a sports power, as well as popularize sports recognized by the Ambassador of peace in the world.
