Information was also provided on measures taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, government institutions, and social and cultural facilities during the winter period, uninterrupted supply of electricity, gas, and water to the population, as well as the progress of construction at facilities planned for commissioning this year under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022&ndash;2028 and the National Rural Program.

As reported, in order to obtain a high wheat yield, irrigation and soil fertilization with mineral fertilizers are being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

In addition, work is being carried out to harvest sugar beet without losses and to process the crop.

In addition, the head of state instructed to strictly monitor settlements between cotton and wheat producers and service enterprises in the regions for the 2024&ndash;2025 cotton harvest and the 2025&ndash;2026 wheat harvest, the progress of sugar beet harvesting in Mary velayat within agrotechnical timeframes, the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, schools, and kindergartens, the supply of electricity, natural gas, and drinking water to the population, and to keep under constant supervision the construction of social, cultural, and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning in the regions this year.

On 11 October, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, who arrived in our country on a working visit.

Thanking the President of Pakistan for the invitation to visit Turkmenistan, as well as for active participation in the International Forum &quot;Interconnection of Times and Civilisations - the Basis of Peace and Development&quot; dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Mahtumkuly Fragi, the head of state expressed confidence that the visit of the guest would be an important step in bringing bilateral cooperation to a new level.

The leader of the friendly country praised the organisational level of the international forum and stressed the importance of such events in strengthening interstate cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

In September this year, Turkmenistan assisted in the implementation of the above projects in Afghanistan.
