On September 25, 2025, a cultural and musical event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Independence was held at the Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transport named after Admiral General F.M. Apraksin.

The celebration was attended by the Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, representatives of the Ministry of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region, as well as staff from the regional office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Professors, students of the institute, and students from the Magtymguly Pyragy Secondary School in the village of Funtovo also took part.

During the event, Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Consul G. On September 25, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Batyr Amanov, reported on the activities of the sector under his supervision &mdash; in particular, the State Corporation T&uuml;rkmengeologi&yacute;a &mdash; during a government meeting.

He noted that the State Corporation is currently carrying out work across various parts of the country to search for and identify underground hydrocarbon reserves. On September 25, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Mammetkhan Chakiyev, reported on measures being taken to train international-level specialists for the country&rsquo;s civil aviation sector during a government meeting.

As reported, efforts are underway to train local flight instructors at the Aviation Personnel Training School of the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenhowa&yacute;ollary&rdquo; State Service, with the issuance of certificates confirming international qualifications, enabling them to conduct training flights on Diamond aircraft. In addition, work is being carried out to improve the quality of teaching at this educational institution.

Turkmenistan to Train Pilots According to European Standards (EASA)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant state authorities of Turkmenistan carried out the necessary work to grant residency permits to 142 individuals. Among them are citizens of seven countries and representatives of 15 nationalities. This was reported on September 25 at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov.

Based on this, the Deputy Prime Minister presented a draft document to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for consideration, proposing to grant residency in Turkmenistan to the aforementioned foreign nationals in honor of the 34th anniversary of the country&rsquo;s independence.

After hearing the report, the head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan is conducting effective work aimed at ensuring the protection of human rights and freedoms, and signed the Resolution granting residency to 142 individuals.

President of Turkmenistan Signs Decree Granting Residency to 142 Individuals

On September 25, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital platform. Opening the meeting, the head of state noted that, as per established tradition, noble initiatives are regularly carried out in the country, including the pardon of citizens convicted of crimes but who regret their actions and sincerely repent.

On September 25, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital communication. The meeting reviewed several issues related to the country&#39;s socio-economic development.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree pardoning 225 convicted citizens on the occasion of the country&#39;s Independence Day.

Austrian Federal President invited to international forum in Ashgabat

Gas workers from the Turkmengazburavlayish Department of the Turkmengas State Concern are successfully drilling wells at gas fields across the country. Gas workers achieved outstanding labor success during the celebration of the 34th anniversary of our country&#39;s glorious independence.

A commercially significant natural gas flow was obtained at the 241st production well of the Atabay gas condensate field in the Central Garagumgaz field complex.

A drilling crew led by drillers Shatlyk Kakadzhanov and Makhrap Kazakov drilled the well to a depth of 1,200 meters. As a result of the work, carried out in the productive formation at a depth of 1,104-1,101 meters from the production gas well, natural gas was obtained.

According to experts, the production well produces 215,900 cubic meters of natural gas per day. The key feature of the product is the purity of the natural gas produced from the well, the absence of hydrogen sulfide.

Drillers from the Turkmen Gas Drilling Department are intensifying their work to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our country&#39;s permanent neutrality with a gift. During these holidays, drillers are also drilling at a rapid pace at gas wells 110, 231, 253, 260, 261, 263, 266, and 283 at the Galkynysh field, which holds one of the world&#39;s leading gas reserves.

During his visit to the United States, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with King Mswati III of Eswatini. After a warm greeting, the two leaders expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to meet on the sidelines of the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly and exchange views on prospects and possible areas for developing interstate relations.

The King of Eswatini noted the high organizational level of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which took place in August of this year in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, and reiterated his gratitude for the hospitality. Mswati III emphasized that the high-level, representative Conference played an important role in coordinating actions and integration efforts at the national, regional, and global levels to ensure the sustainable development of LLDCs, praising Turkmenistan&#39;s active role in this area.

From October 22 to 24, 2025, the capital city of Ashgabat will host the 30th International Conference and Exhibition &ldquo;Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan&rdquo; (&ldquo;OGT 2025&rdquo;), providing a major opportunity to expand business ties and attract investment.

On September 22, in the United States, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States, Rabab Fatima.

Turkmenistan and the UN Discussed Further Development of Cooperation

On September 22, a meeting took place in Ashgabat between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Ahmet Gurbanov, and Deputy Secretary-General of the People&#39;s Government of Hangzhou City, Xu Qingshan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of the Turkmen-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership. Special attention was given to the development of regional cooperation.
