On October 16, a scientific and practical conference was held in Beijing to mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s status of permanent neutrality. The conference opened with a welcome speech by Parakhat Durdyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the People&#39;s Republic of China. He highlighted the importance of the policy of permanent neutrality and the friendly Turkmen-Chinese relations.

Conference Held in Beijing to Mark the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality

On October 3, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a Cabinet of Ministers meeting via digital communication. During the session, the results of Turkmenistan&#39;s socio-economic development for January&ndash;September of this year were discussed, including progress in the oil and gas sector.

The reporting period revealed significant achievements in the country&rsquo;s energy sector. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Amanov presented a detailed report on the activities of the state concern &quot;Turkmennebit&quot; and oil refining enterprises. It was noted that in the first nine months of the year, &quot;Turkmennebit&quot; fulfilled its oil production plan by 109.7%. For oil refineries, the figure reached 109.4%. Gasoline production met 108.8% of the plan, diesel fuel &ndash; 101%, lubricants &ndash; 100%, and the production of natural and associated gas &ndash; 103.1%.

Steady growth was also recorded in the production of high-quality products such as polypropylene and liquefied gas, and in the export of natural gas abroad. These figures indicate the effective use of production capacities in the oil and gas sector, modernization of its technological base, and the strengthening of Turkmenistan&rsquo;s position in the international energy market.

After hearing the report, the President emphasized the need to further enhance the efficiency of production capacities, integrate new technologies, and broadly utilize digital systems. He outlined clear tasks for discovering new hydrocarbon reserves using modern technologies and for developing new methods of processing oil and natural gas.

Additionally, specific instructions were given to expand export routes of the gas industry and develop cooperation with foreign partners. These directives aim to ensure the continued stable development of the energy sector, which is a key pillar of Turkmenistan&#39;s economic growth.

As is well known, extensive geological exploration is currently underway in the country, new fields are being developed, and effective cooperation with international companies is being established. Ongoing work at major gas fields such as &ldquo;Galkynysh,&rdquo; &ldquo;Bagtyyarlyk,&rdquo; and &ldquo;Yashlar&rdquo; contributes to the growth of gas exports and further enhances Turkmenistan&rsquo;s reputation in the global energy market.

On October 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the groundbreaking ceremony for a mineral fertilizer production complex at the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant in Turkmenabat.

The project for the new mineral fertilizer production complex at the S.A. Niyazov Chemical Plant of the T&uuml;rkmenhimi&yacute;a State Concern is being implemented by the Korean company Daewoo Engineering &amp; Construction Co., Ltd. The new complex will produce 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate per year. The commissioning of the complex will significantly increase the capacity of the country&#39;s chemical industry.

Turkmenistan delegate spoke at the 2025 Global Women's Summit in Beijing

The closing ceremony of the World Expo 2025 was held in Osaka on October 13. The Turkmen delegation was led by Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Nazar Agakhanov.

Opening the event, Hiroshima Ishige, Secretary General of the Japan World Exhibition Association (JWEA), celebrated the successful completion of the exhibition in Osaka and expressed his deep gratitude to all the national pavilions from around the world that participated in the event.

As we embark on a new era of sovereignty, new opportunities are being created for the export of Turkmen natural gas in various destinations. Consequently, the capacity of hydrocarbon processing plants is being expanded.

These enterprises are being modernized using innovative technologies and are fully equipped with technical and technological equipment. The following oil and gas fields are currently located in the regions: Galkynysh, Dovletabad, Malay, 10 Years of Independence, Bagadzha, Gazlydepe, Korpedzhe, Nebitlije, Akpatlavuk, and Chekishler. In the future, to further increase production in this sector, plans are underway to develop new fields, reconstruct existing fields, and identify promising oil and gas deposits.

In our country, the Turkmennebit State Concern is carrying out important work in the production and use of oil. This &quot;black gold,&quot; one of our national treasures, is produced at such oil-rich fields as Uzynada, Barsagelmez, Northern Goturdepe, Gamyshlydzha, Keymir, and Altyguy. Turkmenistan plans to develop new oil and gas fields

Last week, 14 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

Turkish entrepreneurs used foreign currency to purchase urea produced at the processing facilities of the T&uuml;rkmenhimi&yacute;a State Commodity Exchange.

Portland cement, uluk, and raw fabric were also sold for foreign currency. The purchasing countries included Turkey, Singapore, and Azerbaijan. The total value of the transactions exceeded $6.5 million.

For the domestic market, domestic entrepreneurs purchased base oil (T&uuml;rkmennebit State Commodity Exchange), as well as plain-dyed and jacquard terry products, cotton yarn, raw fabric, and cotton fiber. The total value of the transactions exceeded 40,395,000 manat.

Construction of three new hospitals has begun in Turkmenistan
