Ashgabat has become a platform for discussing one of the most pressing global issues: the 7th Central Asian Climate Change Conference has begun in the capital of Turkmenistan. The conference has brought together specialists from the countries of the region, as well as representatives of the United Nations and other international structures. The key goal of the meeting is to analyze the impact of climate change on Central Asia and develop joint response measures. 
The event is taking place at the &quot;&Yacute;yldyz&quot; Hotel. Its organizers are the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) and the Government of Turkmenistan, with the support of the World Bank and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). At the opening ceremony, welcome speeches were delivered by the Minister of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, as well as high-ranking representatives of the World Bank, GIZ, the European Union, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The main emphasis was placed on the need for a comprehensive approach: climate change problems must be addressed in close conjunction with national development strategies, especially in key sectors such as agriculture, energy, and water resource management. 
During a special session, representatives of the World Bank, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Italy outlined their approaches and presented opportunities for climate finance for the countries of Central Asia. Particular attention was paid to mechanisms for the effective use of attracted funds.

An international conference titled "Heydar Aliyev — Energy Diplomacy: Solidarity for a Green World" was held in Ashgabat

The diligent work of experienced employees of the &quot;Lebapnebitgazg&ouml;zleg&quot; expedition of the State Corporation &quot;T&uuml;rkmengeologi&yacute;a&quot; has yielded long-awaited results. An industrial inflow of oil &mdash; a valuable raw material &mdash; was obtained from the exploration well No. 1907 drilled by them in the western part of the Goturdepe field.

&quot;We have confidently stepped into the International Year of Peace and Trust. We are actively expanding geological exploration work in various regions of our country, including the Balkan velayat. Our joint efforts are yielding results, adding new wealth to the country&rsquo;s reserves,&quot; said Sunnat Hatamov, the chief geologist of the expedition, with enthusiasm.

The Lebap geological exploration team drilled a well nearly 4,000 meters deep at the mentioned field. This is the deepest well drilled in this area. As a result, a rich layer of oil and natural gas was discovered in the 13th horizon of the lower red layer. According to specialists&#39; calculations, the production capacity of this well is 93.4 tons of crude oil and 4,430 cubic meters of natural gas per day. The successful completion of exploration work convincingly confirms the field&rsquo;s great potential for producing valuable natural resources.

This significant labor achievement in a landmark year was achieved thanks to the coordinated efforts of the drilling rig supervisor Jumageldy Orazov and his team members.

It is especially worth noting the high qualifications and extensive experience of the team members. Among them, the master driller Magtym Mahmudov, lead geologist Mamurjan Charyyev, driller Tore Bazarov, as well as assistant drillers Gahryman Gurtgeldiyev, Artyk Ovezgulyyev, and others stand out.

Last week, 31 transactions were registered at the trading of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

For foreign currency, representatives of business circles from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Afghanistan purchased road bitumen, lighting kerosene, and base oil produced by the State Concern &quot;T&uuml;rkmennebit.&quot; Afghan representatives also acquired sodium chloride and liquefied gas produced at the technological facilities of SC &quot;T&uuml;rkmenhimi&yacute;a&quot; and SC &quot;T&uuml;rkmengaz,&quot; respectively.

Recently, the city of Gorgan in the Islamic Republic of Iran hosted the first specialized exhibition showcasing Turkmenistan&#39;s export opportunities. It was attended by 12 state-owned enterprises of Turkmenistan, as well as about 50 members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The three-day event, held at the Gorgan International Exhibition Center, created favorable opportunities to familiarize attendees with our country&#39;s achievements and export potential in areas such as food, textiles, agriculture, and high technologies, as well as for establishing mutually beneficial business ties. The exhibition, which brought together state and private structures of Turkmenistan and Iran, became an important platform for discussing promising areas of cooperation, increasing trade turnover, and, in particular, for further activating trade and economic relations between the regions of the two neighboring states.

The exhibition widely featured products manufactured by our country&#39;s large industrial structures through oil and gas processing. Neighboring countries, rich in hydrocarbon resources, attach great importance to the development of this sector. Our country&#39;s production and technological capacities in this area aroused deep interest among representatives of the friendly state. Environmentally friendly products manufactured by our country&#39;s textile enterprises were also presented. The session &ldquo;Modern Construction and Industry: Technologies and Financing&rdquo; will be devoted to issues of modernization of the construction industry and industrial production, introduction of advanced technologies in the production of building materials and effective strategies for financing infrastructure projects.

Its participants will discuss key issues of the implementation of advanced technologies and digital transformation strategies in the construction, industry and energy sectors of Turkmenistan, as well as current tasks of modernizing production processes in these sectors. International exhibition and conference "White city Ashgabat" will demonstrate achievements of turkmen capital

A reporting meeting was held at the Central Building of Turkmenistan&#39;s oil and gas complex to review the performance of the industry&#39;s enterprises over the first four months of the current year &ndash; the International Year of Peace and Trust. Meeting participants discussed the tasks set for the country&#39;s oil and gas complex by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via digital system on May 8, where the performance of all economic sectors for the current period was reviewed.

Opening the reporting meeting, Batyr Amanov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, specifically emphasized that Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov places immense trust in the workers of the oil and gas industry. Consequently, the state provides substantial support and creates all necessary conditions to enhance the sector&#39;s activities. Deputy Chairman Amanov also noted that it is the duty of every employee to work diligently and conscientiously, thereby making a worthy contribution to the development of our Motherland.

On May 9, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made a working visit across Ashgabat to inspect several major construction sites. 
He first visited the site of the new Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, emphasizing the importance of blending national architectural traditions with modern design. 
Next, Hero Arkadag reviewed the project for the &ldquo;G&uuml;neşli&rdquo; Children and Youth Center, which will house a modern children&rsquo;s library named after Bazar Amanov. He stressed that the library should become a hub of knowledge and innovation for the younger generation. 
The visit also included inspection of the Neutrality Monument area in southern Ashgabat, where two museums are planned. Named &ldquo;Baky &yacute;oluň&rdquo; and &ldquo;Bitaraplygy&rdquo;, the museums will reflect Turkmenistan&rsquo;s history of neutrality and the spirit of relevant UN resolutions. 
The day concluded with a visit to the Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Complex, where restoration works are underway. Arkadag emphasized using special Karakum sand for the race tracks and gave specific instructions regarding construction quality and timelines.
