State Concern “Türkmengaz” to Strengthen Its Technical Base With New Geophysical Equipment

On July 4, 2025, in the city of Khankendi, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov took part in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) &ldquo;New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future&rdquo;.

During the event, it was noted that the summit became a high-level platform for strengthening multilateral cooperation, coordinating efforts and developing agreed solutions aimed at ensuring sustainable, inclusive and balanced development.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov emphasized the importance of adopting a new program document, which is designed to define the goals and priorities of economic cooperation of the ECO member countries until 2035.

Turkmenistan confirmed its commitment to the principles of multilateral cooperation within the ECO, highlighting priority areas such as the creation of effective logistics routes, diversification of energy supply routes, development of green energy, elimination of barriers to trade development, attraction of investment and development of cooperation in the field of modern technologies and innovations.

In this context, it was proposed to consider the possibility of creating a mechanism for coordinating the energy policies of ECO member states to ensure reliable supplies of energy resources and strengthen the energy security of the region.

In order to further develop the transport and transit potential of the ECO, it was proposed to carry out work on the further integration of transport and logistics systems.

The advisability of intensifying direct contacts between business circles, including through the use of opportunities for cooperation between chambers of commerce and industry, was also noted.

Turkmenistan delegation took part in the 17th ECO summit “New ECO Vision for a Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Future”

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via the digital system on July 4, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on a proposal from the Asian Development Bank regarding Turkmenistan&rsquo;s participation in a regional project for the implementation of Phase II of the Integrated Trade Program until 2030 under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. The main objectives of the project include enhancing regional trade, digitalization, and the development of environmentally sustainable measures.

As part of this initiative, participation is also proposed in Subproject 1 &ldquo;Trade Policy&rdquo; and Subproject 2 &ldquo;Trade Facilitation.&rdquo;

In this regard, a relevant proposal was submitted for consideration by the Head of State.

At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held via the digital system on July 4, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, M. Chakiyev, reported on the measures being implemented in the context of developing the digital economy and introducing innovative technologies.

As reported, the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmenaragatnaşyk&rdquo; agency is carrying out relevant work to exchange experience and enhance cooperation with specialized international organizations. Particular attention is being paid to interaction with the United Nations Development Programme. The Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries will be held from August 4 to 8, 2025, in the National Tourist Zone &ldquo;Avaza.&rdquo; A corresponding decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system on July 4.

According to the document, the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and related events are to be held in an organized and high-level manner.

President of Turkmenistan Signs Decree on Hosting the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries

Current issues of Turkmen-Afghan cooperation were discussed

Daewoo E&amp;C Chairman Jeong Won-ju visited Turkmenistan from June 26 to 30 to discuss new business opportunities and strengthen the company&#39;s presence in the Central Asian market, the company said in a statement on July 1.

Daewoo E&C strengthens strategic ties with Turkmenistan

From 25 June to 3 July 2025, the 33rd Session of the Assembly of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO is taking place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. On 24 June, the 58th Session of the IOC Executive Council was held.

The event includes thematic scientific sessions and special meetings aimed at strengthening international cooperation in monitoring the state of the oceans, predicting the impacts of climate change and protecting the marine environment.

The delegation of Turkmenistan, consisting of the Director of the Institute of the Caspian Sea of Turkmenistan Myrat Atajanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO Maksat Charyev, as well as an employee of the treaty and legal department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Kemal Garayev, is taking part in the sessions.

From June 30 to July 3, 2025, in Seville, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan M. Astanagulov takes part in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4).

Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda

On July 2nd, The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held another meeting of the State Security Council, at which the results of the work of the country&rsquo;s military and law enforcement agencies over the first six months of the current year were reviewed. The agenda also included issues related to ensuring security and peace in the independent Motherland, strengthening the material and technical base of the security forces, and further improving their activities.

Addressing the members of the State Security Council, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that, according to Turkmenistan&rsquo;s Military Doctrine, which has a strictly defensive character, measures are being taken to maintain a high level of military security and integrity of the independent, permanently neutral Motherland, consistent strengthening of the country&rsquo;s defense capability, and improving the social and living conditions of the defenders of the Fatherland and their families. President of Turkmenistan Held a Regular Meeting of the State Security Council

Balkan Velayat continues to see large-scale construction efforts aimed at modernizing infrastructure and advancing Turkmenistan&rsquo;s vital oil and gas sector. Specialists from the 1st Specialized Installation Directorate of the &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmen&yacute;&ouml;ritenebitgazgurnama&rdquo; Trust, under the State Concern &ldquo;T&uuml;rkmengaz,&rdquo; are actively working in Balkanabat on a range of projects. These include the development of mineral resource fields, installation of new fuel pipelines, modernization of existing infrastructure, and the construction of cultural and community facilities.

On 30 June 2025, in the city of Porto, Portugal, within the framework of the 32nd session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Turkmenistan held a side event on the theme &ldquo;International Year of Peace and Trust: Strengthening Multilateralism for a Secure and Sustainable Future&rdquo;. The total amount of transactions amounted to over 5 million 19 thousand US dollars.

On June 30, 2025, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Zambia, Mulambo Haimbe.

During the telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on the further development of bilateral relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, and economic spheres.

The parties also discussed bilateral cooperation within international organizations, primarily the United Nations.

In this context, the Foreign Ministers discussed preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3).

As you know, the Republic of Zambia actively participated in the UN Ministerial Transport Conference for Landlocked Developing Countries, which was held in Turkmenistan on 15-16 August 2022.

A telephone conversation was held between the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Zambia

On June 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hakims, where issues related to the country&#39;s agricultural sector and the work carried out in the regions were discussed.

The hakims of the velayats reported on the progress of the current seasonal agricultural campaigns.

The hakims reported on the progress of construction of social, cultural and industrial facilities planned for opening in the regions this year within the framework of the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022&ndash;2028 and the National Rural Program.

After hearing the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to ensure the harvest of the remaining wheat crop in the fields without losses and to the last grain and to carry out agricultural activities at the proper level in the cotton fields, giving specific instructions to the hakims.

The head of state also instructed the hyakims to monitor the high-quality and timely construction of facilities planned for commissioning in the region this year.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.

As reported, work is underway to care for rice fields in the Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, and sugar beet sowing continues in the Mary velayat.

Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of taking the necessary measures for the proper completion of the grain harvesting campaign, as well as high-quality care of the cotton crop, laying the foundation for the next year&#39;s wheat harvest, ordering that the work carried out in this direction be kept under strict control.
