The multi-thousand-year history of contacts and communication between the ancestors of the Turkmen and Chinese as one of the strong pillars of modern relations between the two states was confirmed during the recent working visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the People&#39;s Republic of China.

Turkmenistan and Slovenia to hold next round of political consultations in Ljubljana

During the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which was successfully held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone early last month, the Avaza Action Program for 2024-2034 was announced and the Avaza Political Declaration was adopted. The documents defined the strategic direction of development of these countries for the next ten years and became a historical event of global significance.

Thematic events organized by the UN structural divisions and other international organizations were held within the framework of the representative forum, during which a wide range of issues related to the development of the economies of these states and strengthening stability were considered.

Particular attention should be paid to the high-level round table, which was devoted to the creation of sustainable infrastructure for LLDCs, strengthening cooperation in this area, and promoting the development of transit and transport corridors.

Speaking about the importance of combining efforts to develop comprehensive strategic cooperation, Chairman Xi Jinping noted that China supports the permanent neutrality, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Turkmenistan.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation to visit China and the hospitality provided, the head of the Turkmen state congratulated the leader of the PRC on the successful holding of the SCO Summit and the 80th anniversary of the Victory, and also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Hero Arkadag.

The head of state noted that the gas industry is a strategic area of ​​bilateral economic cooperation. A clear example of this is the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, which has been successfully operating for more than fifteen years. Currently, our countries are working to expand cooperation in the gas sector, and specific results are being achieved in this area.

Having reported that the Chinese side won the international tender for the development of the 4th stage of the large gas field &quot;Galkynyş&quot;, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Chairman Xi Jinping on this event.

The head of state also noted that a draft General Agreement on the basic principles of gas cooperation between Turkmenistan and China has been prepared.

Noting that, at the initiative of our country, the UN General Assembly declared 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Chairman of the People&#39;s Republic of China Xi Jinping to an international forum to be held in Ashgabat on December 12 to mark this event and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s neutrality.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the PRC Chairman stressed that China respects the legal status of Turkmenistan&#39;s neutrality and supports its peacekeeping foreign policy.

The heads of Turkmenistan and China discussed further deepening of bilateral partnership in various fields

As part of the World Expo 2025, held in Osaka, Japan, a festive event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the country&#39;s Independence was held at the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan on September 1.

The purpose of the event was to widely present to the world community the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, exquisite carpet art and national costumes. Particular attention was paid to the achievements of the Turkmen textile industry.

The guests of the exhibition got acquainted with the beauty of Turkmen carpets, the symbolism of national ornaments, as well as the modern level of development of textile products. During the event, speeches were made dedicated to the achievements of Turkmenistan in the field of textile industry and carpet weaving.

One of the highlights was the presentation of Turkmen national costumes. Modern models in traditional style, prepared by the Fashion House of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, aroused great interest among the audience.

The event also included a master class on Turkmen carpet art. Guests learned about the intricacies of carpet weaving, the meaning of ornaments and carpet weaving traditions.

The festive events made a significant contribution to the development of international cultural cooperation and the wide recognition of the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people in the world.

A festive event was held at the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan in Osaka

On September 1, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) hosted a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan&#39;s permanent neutrality and the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth.

The conference was attended by the staff of the Consulate, the head of the Astrakhan regional public organization for the preservation and development of Turkmen culture, students studying in the Russian Federation, teachers and students of the MCOU &quot;School named after Makhtumkuli Fragi&quot; in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan Region.

During the conference, the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Gadam Ilamanov warmly congratulated the youth on the beginning of the new academic year and spoke about the importance of Turkmenistan&#39;s permanent neutrality, the main achievements and successes of Turkmenistan over the past 34 years, as well as the importance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

F. Kadyrova, head of the Astrakhan regional public organization for the preservation and development of Turkmen culture, R. Shadzhiev, teacher of the Makhtumkuli Fragi school, and G. Nepesova, a 2nd-year student of the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev, also spoke at the conference. At the same time, pupils of the Makhtumkuli Fragi school read poems of the great poet in the Turkmen language.

During the conference, on behalf of the Consulate, letters of gratitude and memorable gifts were presented to students, pupils and teachers of the Makhtumkuli Fragi school in the village of Funtovo, Astrakhan Region, for their active participation in the ceremonial events organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan.
